Yup so I'm coming back to have some fun. I was there at launch and I'm fully aware of the issues. I myself thought they could have done better and make a DOAC2 rather than Warhammer but even with Warhammer's issues the game isn't too far off from being alot better. In no way shape or form will I ever claim this game to have potential to tbe the greatest ever but it certainly does have a chane to be very good. In 2009 unless SW:TOR is going to release you will not find anything spectacular. So for me I will be setting my expectations on low and just enjoy some rvr fun. People need to do the following these days to give Warhammer Online another try. 1. Lower the expectations for god's sake - Yup people expect supreme excellence all the time. There is no such thing as a perfect mmo. Once you realize this you may think of mmos differently. So some mmo soul searching and just get it through your head " There is no perfect mmo" rinse ans repeat until you have passed out! 2.. Warhammer got issues - Yea we know this but what game doesn't ? Even the almighty WOW (some might say this ) has issues. Some people in life have issues but hey they just keep on having fun, get the point ? It isn't the best mmo on the market but it has the potential to be very good. 3. Because you want to - Play because YOU want to not because someone else on the forums or your pals don't wan't you to. If you like the game then go for it. Alot of my gaming buddies play Guild Wars but for me I need a major break from that game. I will miss my pals but hey it's time to Waaaaagh in Warhammer once again. So I did me some mmo soul searching and will be playing Warhammer Online again. Who knows how long I will be playing but hopefully I can get atleast a good year out of the game before GW2 and SW:TOR get here. In the meantime its time to Waaagh once more and have me some fun. :) |

Well that is a great example and yes it proves that people will certainly overlook issues because they love a certain game. The same thing has to happen for WAR to be much better. |

I too have been toying with the idea of coming back - Because lets face it, Origins won't be coming out in my lifetime. They have even removed the "New server type?" section on the herald.
I think I might come back for 1.2 - I have a shaman which I enjoyed but the healing lag really fucked me off and I decided it just wasn't worth it. I see they have reduced cast time (which means they can't fix the original cast lag issue?) and upped the heal points on gather round. And improved GFI.
If not i'll just cave and roll a slayer on a new server - got to do something with this damn CE edition. |

I just sent you a message man.
Some other pvp games are coming out I think folks should really look into. |

I just go back last week on trial. Pick a chosen, but secenerios is non-existance in tier 1. Queuing for a few days yet non pop up :( But the game have indeed become more stable, bug wise, but still the stuttering and sometimes a few seconds lag is there. Lets see what patch 1.2 can do....

So anyone know what server is best for scenarios and open rvr ? I used to be on Volkmar server but I am unsure of the balance between factions there is now. I plan to roll Destrusction this time around. |

I'm in the same position you are Saint
WAR has its downsides, but right now it's the best game for me. There are things I wish they would focus on more (Overhauling keeps and diversifying them, getting rid of siege weapon pads and make them moveable, new siege weapons like a siege tower, more RP emotes), but I'm happy with what we have now.
So I'm just going to let the game rippen and I'm sure we will have a winner further down the road. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

Yes quite a few here are looking forward to that game but sadly other than the flying aspect it seems more of the same of what WOW and LOTRO already offer. It looks nice though. |

I'm waiting eagerly for the feedback of Patch1.2 after it comes on live servers. In the land of Predators, the lion does not fear the jackals... |

Got back into it thanks to Circuit City closing down (pre-paid 60 day time cards were at 60% off). Also had 2 left over from when Amazon.com had the time cards at $10 I think it was for the X-Mas promotion. Some ppl will complain about the imbalance on Iron Rock (one of the servers I play on), but man that server is jumping. I played until 2AM my time (Central) and scenarios in Tier 2 were popping pretty regualrly. It's been said many times, but if only fewer servers were opened at launch, the game might be in better shape now. A high-pop server makes all the diffference. |

If you're going to stick it out there, don't be afraid if you get it cut off. |
I've been debating on coming back as well. It is a fun game, no doubt about that. It is not as profound as other MMOs, but nonetheless it has a lot to offer in terms of team play and PvP. My main reason for leaving the game was time due to RL. Unfoturnately, I was at the point where I didn't really make much progress uless I had guildies on the same schedule as me to go do dungeons and due to my schedule it was difficult. That is why I prefer games that are skill based because you can always develope skills by yourself if no one is able to play at the same time. But with levels you usually lean towards gear and renown which will usually demand the team play factor. I had a good experience. I may be back someday as I would like Darkfall if it wasn't for the 3rd person view and inability to own personal housing. |

MMORPG Character Monuments ...When its time for your character to take a well deserved rest... |
In the end, Warhammer is a solid game. It hasnt developed the 'It' factor that DAOC had. Still, I can see a lot of future potential with Warhammer. PVE has a lot to improve, but I have little doubt it will get there. Still this game is for the RvR. If thats not your style, this will never be the game for you |

I honestly think WAR is the most fun game out there for LEVELING. The options to PVP/PVE/RVR all to gain EXP and level makes the leveling the most fun out of any game out there. As far as the end game, could use more work. But I love to level toons, and this game really keeps me going for that alone. |

Really ? I found leveling mindnumbingly boring. Interesting how people can have different perspectives. |
