General Discussion » So can I buy it yet, or is it still too hardcore?

I would like to buy the game having following it for several years, but anytime I read about it I just see rabid abuse by fanbois for anyone that wants to give it a go. I might be wrong, but I think it's the only game I have followed that you can't actually buy. Do you think it will go on general sale or is it still just clans that got in to beta that can play it? First off, it's not just clans that got to play it. It's people that were lucky enough to get a pre-order. Yes, they will open up new sales again in the near future. They're trying to make sure the debacle that happened with the last batch of orders doesn't happen again. And stop with this ridiculous, "or is it still too hardcore" bullshit.

Supposedly there were non-beta testers that were able to purchase the game in the first wave. If you have been able to make an account, all I can say is wait and watch for the shop to open.

It's easy to make fun of this game...how many games have released and then STOPPED selling copies right after it released? There's not A LOT of games that do that...especially MMOs. Darkfall is full of fail...because its too hardcore.

Why don't they do like these Asians MMO's do and just open an item mall or better yet just sell the garbage to SOE and let SOE fix it and add it too their bargain bin.

"Lucky enough to get a pre-order." LMAO Yeah, they were awful lucky to spend $50 on a crappy half-assed MMO. They were lucky to have to deal with the billing issues and all of the down time related to the horrible launch. They're awful lucky to get to play a supposedly 'skill based' PvP game that's already rife with hacks, and looks to be unable to even begin to stop them. Maybe I need to look up 'lucky' in the dictionary, because anyone who's paid to play this game certainly isn't by my definition.

It's a hardcore, you are right. DarkFall Online is a hardcore failure. What PVP? some guys still paying to beta test a failed game with someone got rolled in PVP? The MMO community does not even recognise your achievement and probaly never will. At best, they will remember some fanbois killed each others pixels in some failed game called Darkfail online.

I dunno why he brings up hardcore concerns, I hope I am not feeding a troll. To the OP: I doubt if anyone knows what is happening in Aventurine. I doubt if Aventurine itself got a solid plan on how to proceed. Its a mess at best and might be going bizzaire. There are many views here, most of them I see as speculation, read what you can and make your own judgment. But, do not trust the official web, a lot of the information there are totally outdated.
