I am looking for an mmo that has a good combat system (such as the one from star wars galaxies, and unlike world of warcraft) lots of pvp, and fair graphics. I have played alot of mmos (LOTRO, WoW, SWG, runescape[sucks], City of heroes.) I found that star wars galaxies had the best combat system of them all, And a suggestion to a game with a similar combat system and extra pvp would be nice, thanks. |

daoc dark age of camlot has the best pvp out there for a mmo the population though is low. the grapics are still okay |

how could it have good pvp with no population? lol, population is one of the main things to make pvp better.. I liked swg's combat system because its very fast paced. i would have stayed in swg if i wasnt banned permanently lol, i was banned on the FIRST offense for 'inapropriate language' without warning, now thats kinda messed up and why im looking for a new mmo similar to swg, without the shi**y company SOE. |

any further suggestions for new mmos would be nice, and please post kinda specific as i dont want to pay for a game i wont like. |

Either Darkfall(if they straighten it up) ,has so so graphics though or Mortal online which is due out this summer which seems like it has excellant graphics and good PVP system from what little is known so far. |

darkfall is.. complicated to get, i doubt its even american because i would not have such trouble trying to get it. Its telling me the shop is offline to the US, so darkfall is out of the question. it looked like a great game, but its not established or anything, im also looking for that. It shouldnt be that difficult to buy a game.. seriously. I will be online tommorrow so if you can leave any more suggestions i would appretiate it, thanks. |

To say you want "good combat" is so vague as to barely mean anything. |

i liked age of conans combat system. classes arent godly or crappy anymore its actualy balanced now and i never have lag problems like people used to complain about. with the server mergers you'll find pvp everywhere in the open world make friends quick :P will help drasticaly in pvp while leveling. |

You could also look into Planetside. I realize its technically SOE, but its more of the red-headed stepchild of the bunch. Your only fear there is the potential of a shutdown, but being SOE I doubt they'll part with it. Aside from that I see tons of "inappropriate language" on a daily basis without any reprimand. And frankly, if you want Fast Paced "mmo" like FPS action its all there. Graphics are a little out dated but you'll hardly notice that after 10 minutes of game play. I believe they still offer a 14 day trial, though you may have to search a little for it.

I'll check it out, and what i mean by fast paced is umm... like more skillful(for example:) on wow every time you press an attack it sets a 3 second cooldown on all attacks, while SWG does not. otherwise your attacks are as fast as you press the key (real time otherwise.) |

Darkfall seriously sounds like exactly what you are looking for, especially if you liked SWG. FPS style combat and seeing as there is only one server it is pretty full of people. The game is new so TONS of people will be coming in as it becomes more available. You wont have to worry about it getting shut down for a long time. It goes on sale every week day at around 2 o clock. ALl you gotta do is check the news section of the forums tomorrow to see what time. Each day they release a ceratin amount of "copies" for people to buy. They are doing this to ease the load on the server. playing: darkfall |

And it does look to me as if darkfall has no interest in americans, they dont even post american times on the forums... |

i strongly recomment Galaxy Online. A very nice new RPG of IGG. I just started this game for 5days, and play in Rayman Faction. |

I heard the closest to first version of SWG combat system is DDO. If you seek a game with best featured / varied combat system with lost, and I mean LOTS of customizations, check it. The link's in my signature. Quests I think are the best on the market, no other MMO offered me so much. And I'm very hard to please. The only issue is that you seek PvP. There's PvP in DDO of course, but rather in the way of matches and brawls (in Tavern arenas, etc.). They are deathmatch, capture the flag, etc. But the game is mostly PvE with strong community side - quests are just awesome if you run them in parties. Every class is very different, different played, and offers unique abilities (like disabling traps for rogue - good wizard my see them too, but can't disable!). Game is very 3D in play. I mean, jumping, levitating, swimming, grabbing the ledge in last moment before you fall, tumbling to flank / escape monster attacks, tubmle to escape traps, etc. Skill system has even skills like swimming (just try to swim in full plate, without waterbreathing item / spell... and drown! But like I said. PvP isn't main theme of the game. However. one that never played DDO, can't really tell he's experienced in MMORPGs. This game is a must to at least have a try, because it's completely different to WoW clones, more based on player skill, and unique. Love it, hate it, but try it

Turbine isnt a bad company.. ive played LOTRO and its great, besides the fact that there is rarely any pvp at all. but i started playing world of warcraft and it isnt doing so bad but darkfall is my main goal.. ill check out DDO here in a bit. Thanks, |
