#2. 13-16 year old kids with massive amounts of teen agnst running around QQing, saying retarded nonsense on forums, in game global, and in private tells after they get rolled. - The bad part of the community.
Unfortunately it seems like #2 makes up for 75% of the community and #1 makes up for 25%
Now it would be OK if most of the comments were funny, creative, or witty but most of it is just /yawn emo dribble spewed out by mad little kids.
Hopefully with more players coming into the game the trend is somehow miraculously reversed but if not just prepare to put a lot of tards on ignore.
Way to generalize. The people in game have been great so far. I see questions asked/awnsered in alliance chat and race chat all the time. I have gotten tells from people saying "GF" and people saying good fight in public as well.
I am an elf, so maybe alfar chat is terrible or something I do not know. Great community so far though. |

I agree... I was surprised to get a stream of tells saying "great fight guys!!!" after my guild ambushed another in the woods and beat them.

doesnt matter if someone posts anything about the game or not. someone posts how they like the game, what they like about it etc.. they get bashed by some other clown claiming the opposite. same goes for someone who posts anything negative. the only true test of whether you are going to like a game or not should never be based on what someone says. it has to be based on your actual experience and not the words of someone else. |

I am glad some of you are enjoying your time. I, for one, will not bother with this thing until they come through with their "No one will have to pay to try this game out" mantra. I will give this game a FREE trial, and see what I see. I don't tend to like full loot games...but then, most full loot games tend to also be ignorantly LOOT CENTRIC. This one is being hailed (currently) as not loot centric at all...and there are basic equipment pieces you cannot lose. These concepts attract me, as I am a PvP'er at heart. In fact, I'm a PvP'er first and foremost. I just don't like games where I spend 90% of my time trying to get equipment just to function at all...only to spend the last 10% of my time LOSING it to some asshole that had BETTER gear and sat around noob zones to take mine.
As I said, I'll give this game its fair shot when the company finally starts following through with what they said they stood for. I may, or may not, enjoy it. I can guarantee one thing...my view on the matter will easily be the most unbiased one here. For all the hate I had for this in the years its been tossed around and lied about...I am still 100% able to approach it fairly and openly, and will do so. |

my point was, you have to play the game in order to form youre own opinion. depending on the opinion of others shouldnt be how you decide to play a game or not. |

The generalize thing really doesn't make a lot of sense just an FYI.
I tested each race for about an hour or two in the start areas. It wasn't much different across the board.
There were a few more carebears on the Human/Elf/Dwarf areas but they still had A LOT of negativity and childish QQing and really idiotic insults that only a 13 year old would find funny.
Hey maybe it will not persist or maybe it will I dunno but right now that's the state of the community and it's a fact. Sorry if you don't like the reality of it but it's not my fault. |

What happened to the RPers looking for a sandbox game? You know, the ones DF was originally created for. |

Yet without RPers MMORPGs would have never existed, which would mean UO never would have happened and hence DFO would never have been thought of... |

Aye, I think his name was Gary Gygax. But again, without those such roleplayers from the late 70s to mid 90s MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games) would never have existed. They created the foundations, the systems and the character structures used in games such as DFO. Without these people you might be waiting another 10 - 15 years for such a genre to appear if at all. To say its obvious that someone would eventually have done something is equivelent to hindsight. |
