Yep, you heard it guys. DF will be in paid closed beta until the 22nd of December.
I think it is a good thing. It would be a shame to release such a diamond unfinished. Good decision Aventurine! I just hope that from now on Tasos will provide more regular updates about the state of development/testing. |

I doubt investors would support Aventurine delaying until next year. It comes out now or it gets scrapped.

No game company would ever take back a launch they already made. From now on they just have to deal with it fast... If it was that simple. All mmorpgs that had a shit start could just delay it again some months. But it would fuck up pre orders from all over the world (most mmorpg's are retail boxed). Only thing about darkfall is it is digitally download. But they'll cut off a huge part of their potential customer base if they did something like that. Atleast i would just say fuck it and go for Mortal online since it might eventually come out before end of this year. And it seems like a similiar concept just with better development background and budget. Win... or lose... |

I saw no launch. Launch means you open the gate and ppl start flooding in. Selling 5k accounts on a game that has 300k registrations for beta is not a launch. It is just Tasos lieing in your face for the 7th consequtive year. |
