I got in for the first time when the servers were up just now, got attacked by someone with some decent looking gear, won the fight, didn't know how to gank and the server went down before I could finish them and loot. GAH!

I have to say though, after only 5 minutes of play my heart rate is through the roof!

Breath deep!  Don't have a heart attack. Real pvp can be exciting no doubt. 

You might be able to loot that kill in another 24 hours... Sry.

Press x -> aim at feet(it's best there) -> press left mouse and hold until bar is full -> release; sweet, sweet release.

I looted a helm and dropped it on my guy the second the server went down. Hope it's still there.

Welcome to the adrenaline rush of a real MMO. Server will be back up soon after they deal with some account log-in issues.

you call it what you want, I call it freedom. Tell me how it makes sense in an MMO that I am a powerful (warrior/mage/archer etc.) yet I do not have the ability to (stab/fireball/shoot, etc.) some guy who has angered me or has gear that I want?
