Why did they have to take the servers down?
I understand they took it down yesterday to APPLY A PATCH. I realize that is necessary. But if they don't have a patch prepared to fix the server now, why did they have to take it down? I'd prefer being able to log-in and practice my magery or run around and explore.
There must be a bigger issue that they aren't letting on. Is it because of exploits in the game that have allowed guilds to start building cities already? Is there really a "dupe"? What is really going on??

Hopefully, they are fixing all the issues with the sync problems and fixing all the exploits and wiping the server....maybe....could be.... |

Is it down until monday because they fear all 30k players with nothing better to do than try to play at once? Do they hope you will have taken last week off and HAVE to go back to school / work monday? Servers will be up monday... Good To The Last Drop. |

3.00 PM GMT We didn’t manage to completely eliminate the sync issue affecting players in the game earlier today. Our real-time monitor alerted us of this as soon as we brought up the server and players started entering the game. We need to take more time to address this. There is no ETA as of yet. We’ll keep you posted on any developments.

I don't think they have a TEST server, where they can apply the patch and test it, they have to do it on live. So they make a patch, take the server down, patch it, test the server, if bugs not fixed or more bugs created, keep the server down while trying to fix it on the go, trial and error style...with live server. I think that's the real reason they keep the servers down so much. |
