For those of you that did not play the game already in its short launch, or played but coulndt find mobs to exploit. Be prepared to be weeks behind those who only played for a few hours. I am hoping they do a full server wipe. There are people in the game with 50+ weapon skills but with virtually no armor skills whatso ever. People have killed and camped mobs with ease, mobs that are very very difficult and you would need very good organization and eqiupment to defeat them. How is this possable. people have found mobs that dont fight back, they just stand there. There are entire guilds that have everyone decked out with awesome gear. And you may say, "good when i kill them, ill get there loots", your mistaken if you ever will see them have this armor on unless they are in large groups. Lets all hope for a server wipe and have everyone start on equal ground with a game that is actually played the way it is supposed to be played |

I am not that concerned about being behind the 100 or so ppl that actually are getting to play the game... Played: Shadowbane, UO, PlanetSide, SWG, EQ 2, City of Heros, AO, AoC, Daoc, WOW, lotro, Eve, GW, Tabula, Pirates of the burning sea (yup), Vanguard, Warhammer, Lineage 2 Out of all those I loved Shadow Bane, SWG (it had its issues but those first few months were great) and AO after about 5 months I was in love) RIP..not since then have I loved a MMO... |

I'm still going to play EU-1 for a while to truly understand the game. Then when the new servers open I'll be prepared to be ahead.

Obviously, gear plays a factor in the game. yeah, armor class but the phrase "awesome gear" leads me to believe that gear plays more of role than what was stated in posts and interviews I've read. Enhancements/ enchantments is one thing if I'm misunderstanding darkslayne's meaning of the phrase.

Gear is a factor, just not to the degree of most MMORPG's. |

The mob gear isn't bad, but the crafted gear is better. Even with the lower gear on the scale though, victory still goes to the group getting the first hits in more often than not. A set of heavy armor bought from the blacksmith at the starter shop, a 2h sword, and a good bow will be just about as good as monster loot in most situations, especially if you have an advantage in numbers and inititave. |
