I decided to make this thread after responing to a few posts of people, for some wierd reason , think Darkfall has not been officially released.

1st off Lets stop inventing terms like Payed close beta and the like.

All the darn info you need is quickly found on this website. Infact if your reading this thread look closely to your screen.

Do you see right above where it says general discussion >>Yes Everyone Darkfall has been Officially released!

Yes just above it youll see some tabs. ok do yourself a favor and click on the NEWS tab for those who seem to have trouble finding that tab ill post a link to it Just to make it easier for you

As you see FROM TASOS HIMSELF he mentiond everything on that link regarding the issues the game was facing on LAUNCH DAY.

According to a statement issued earlier today on the Darkfall forums, the Non Disclosure Agreement for the game's beta has been lifted. Tasos Flambouras addressed this issue and others in a letter to the game's community.

As of the time of this posting the NDA is officially lifted. In the next couple of days the Darfkall pre-orders will open up and stay up until right before Darkfall’s launch on February 25th or until they are sold out. This is how the pre-order will work:

The pre-order consists of the Darkfall client digital download along with a month of play starting on February 25th. The full cost for this is 42 Euro. This amount WILL NOT be charged during the pre-order. What will be charged is an initial 2.52 Euro non-refundable payment to activate the process. The remainder (39.48) of the pre-release price will be billed on release, February 25th. You’ll be free to cancel the purchase any time before the additional charge goes in on February the 25th.

If you still are at disbelief seeing that this information comes from TASOS himself. then do yourself a favor and preform a face roll on your keyboard.

AS of the 26th there are NO more preorders. Those ended . From now you are ordering the product at retail. However due to billing issues some of the Preorders are still being rectified . THAT DOES NOT MEAN YOU CAN STILL PREORDER ALL YOU CAN DO IS FROM NOW ON IS ORDER THE PRODUCT.

I hope this thread does help the many people who seem to be very misinformed.

To deny that this game is officially released is to say that you do not belive crap of what the company who created the game has said about their release date.

IT seems some people still have trouble seeing the truth.

Limited release does not = beta.

They preformed a Limited release because they do not have the resorces to purchase more servers ect to hold a bigger player base. This means that the limited number of players are helping them get enough resorces to open more servers. Once they can do they they can allow more people to join the game thus making more money and giving them the ability to create enough servers to hold its player base.

The game still released.  The official forums is closed due to unknown reasons, it has never been updated save the froums.  you cannot even order or do anything from the mainsite.

That would be almost funny if it wasn't so bad.  The website hasn't been updated in quite a while.

Everyone says they are paying for beta because the game is a huge fuck up not because they actually think its beta.

Website says BETA still, I signed up a few times yesterday  .   Also if you wan't me to be completely serious then its a limited release, not a full release....

it is not released. war and aoc did not count as released until pre-order early acess was over. the game has been delayed for the third time, thats the truth.

Not only it's still in beta, sadly enough it's still on the first wave of invites...

I don't think forcing people to pay 50 bucks to beta test a game is such a great strategy but it seems like AV has gotten away with it... Heck some people are even cheering them on...

I just don't understand how people can argue this point.  It's mute anyway sheesh.  You guys who claim it's open and ppl who claim it's beta are just playing on words.  Call a spade a spade, did they have there "release", yes...is it a release in the normal sense, NO and that doesn't even matter.  The point is the game/billing system, forums closed down are the facts.  Call it a release, call it what you want, it's a mute arguement, the point is the game is not out to the public like a "normal release is"....

No, and it hasn't been available for purchase since Pre-orders closed... Since pre-orders are not actually something you get AFTER release (hence the name "pre-order" rather then "order") the game has not yet been put for sale...

As far as I am concerned, if something has never been put for sale (after it's supposedly released) then it is not really released.

Edit: For the guy above me, The problem as far as I know right now, is that they are facing some hardcore bugs in game. Nothing to do with the billing system anymore...

I am however truly thankfull for the people that have paid to help them find these bugs on the last 2 days... Thank you for helping AV fix the game before they put it on sale! I am glad I don't have to buy a broken toy
