I know exactly they are talking about. I have worked in small Bulgarian Game developement company named Haemimont and it was exactly the same. Thats why I have pissed and get a calm job with better salary.

Before years half of the peoples from "Haemimont Games" started another company named "BlackseaStudios" with a new hopes, but its become the same: working like crazy, implementing great ideas and release polished products, but no any big success because of crap publish and marketing. Now BlackseaStudos was bought by Crytek and they have new hopes.

Hope that will see some of my friend there more often now :)

I know what mean to be Game developer in small company, and that devs there have no own life because that, even they can get much more profitable, and 10 times more easy work. Thats why I support DFO compleatly, and get really angry when some mister "Britney Spears" start crying (trolling) about DFO...

PS: Even all the problems I'm so glad that Aventurine get the publish in their own hands and I'm shure they will solve all of them with the time.

Education solves 90% of those problems..  Take 6 years of programming, networking and animation classes..!

He barely posts any updates, has kept the forums down, had not seen fit to get a current site up... I mean he is part owner, but what exactly is he doing with this frantic time of his?

It amazes me how much these guys throw themselves pitty parties and deflect blame... I am very forgiving of Indy companies... but AV has mishandled just about everything it could have for the past 5 - 6 years.

Guys, lack of sleep on the 2 hours a night deal is common with software rollouts.   I've done it many times, so have others who have been a part of that sort of thing.

Also common with really any industry when you are an entreprenuer and you are bring your brainchild to market.

Of course they are working hard.

But that doesn't entirely absolve them of these terrible billing problems or the rest of it.

And it certainly doesn't make it any more sensical to give such noninformational, sporadic at best updates.

Somewhere between fanbois and troll there is the common sense middle ground - wish more folks would find it.

But man, relax a bit.   Most of us save the majority of our positivity for our clan forums.

Tasos brought it on himself. A mutli million dollar loan and they didnt hire anyone else. Hundreds out thousands of people waiting to play and they didnt hire some new staff. Tasos stinks like blizzard, his eyeballs are so full of dollar signs i doubt he sleeps much eigther. When he does close his eyes all he can think is "if i can just get this game out with only these 20 guys on staff then i can rake in the dough and then get the hell out of here."

I wasn't going to say anything, but really? Are you retarded? Where does it say he sleeps 4 hours every 16 hours and also goes to sleep at the same time every day? You do realize that if you only sleep a bare minimum, you won't be following a regular sleep schedule, right? That should have been common sense, since that's literally what he said, but God forbid a chance might slip through your fingers for you to make an ass out of yourself.

    If the Dev team got more rest, their minds would be more alert during the coding process and the code wouldn't be in the shoddy condition its in now. Of course that would have pushed the devlopment cycle up to 16 years.

I hope Tasos' R&R time is reduced to an hour every two days...Maybe he'll learn to not make so many far-fetched promises later in life.
