You obviously haven't played this game much. Fair competition is what aventurine calls a siege.

A wipe is what anyone who played mmorpgs for more than two months call an extremely bad solution.

 

I've played this game as much as anyone else who wasn't in beta has.

I've played enough MMOs for know the significance one can have on the game, but considering half the players were unable to play the game come launch, and AV did not bring down the servers to resolve the problem, I think not wiping the servers would be far worse thing to occur.

Now, considering you HAVE NOT played this game AT ALL, I suggest you STFU and wait for AV to allow orders to be filled again.

lol I was in beta for weeks so who's the one who has no idea what he's talking about here?

Wipe or not... they're going to let people join the server gradually since they can't handle all the players at once.... so with some bad luck you're looking at a couple of days before some people even get a chance to join. By then people will be running around with greater magic skills and full plate...

This is retarded, beta guilds know alot about the game and they know how to kill mobs honestly could you expect anything less?

There are no levels there are no mobs that a big enough group of noobs right out the gate should not be able to kill. This game is all about guild and orginization if you can't deal with it then just leave and stfu.

I play solo also and could have easily gained about 3~5k gold by myself before the LoD city was even claimed, It's not hard I only farmed for about 2 hours so I have like 1k but still get like 10 people and o look you have 12k gold in a really short amount of time.

Some people just need to learn others know more and are better than them.

If a wipe "would mean nothing", then why not do it for the betterment of the DF community.

A 1 day head start for those that were able to login will not mean jack in the long run. I do not even know if most of us American guilds really intend to have a city for much more than a home base. This is just a hold me over until the US servers are released for a lot of people.

I suppose my concerns boil down to this:

There was an unintended issue in game.
Some guilds profited deeply from it while others were deeply hindered from it.

While I am all for competition (I did purchase DF after all) and I am completely open to getting steamrolled by  more organized guilds, I do not believe that this is a factor that should result in a competitive outcome... which it has. A server wipe, while unfortunately the only way of overcoming this is, fortunately, a wipe of but a days progress in the name of future server health.

 a few steps away dose not count as moving away you basicly needed to be far enuf away that you might have seen one or 2 players at tops and i got a feeling that did not happen i cant say 100% on this mind you but its what i see  for me it helped some not 100% ither but it was play able

Don't know if I care anymore. I mean server 1 will be a ghost town appart from the big beta guilds as soon as another server opens up. It's so obvious that there is no point at all playing on server 1 if you didn't play in the beta and got into a guild. Either they wipe or they end up with a server with only a few big guilds and no other players.

Also, just about any moderatly established guild has a map made with coordinates to cities, spawns, stones, and some even nodes. Not such a big secret really if you had clanmates in beta.

If you figured out the water exploit then I'd say you have some good "sekrets"

This has been tested with many people and failed 100%. We tried that, as well as making our clients force validate the files to see if it would resync with the server. Both failed miserably.

Like you tho, that is my primary concern.

I've chosen not to play Darkfall in its current state, but I read that mobs attack the first player to attack them, and then never change aggro. If so (or if this has not been fixed), that sure is dumb AI with a capital D.

And just for the record, it's wipe not whipe (whipe is not even a word). And it's 'which', not witch. Unless you're talking about a magic casting female, that is.

For weeks here people have been saying the AI is the most advanced ever seen in an MMO, along with tasos.

It doesnt sound very 'hardcore' that mobs are so easy.

I thought this game was about 'the challenge'
