Is it fair for clans that planned, coordinated and played in a legitimate fashion to wake up to discover they are out matched by guilds rolling in dough who have walls when you're still working on your bank? Come one week when we're knee deep in sieges and their cities and crafters are deeply progressed... will it be any less unjust to have NOT rolled back the server then?
I'll just say that if there were legitimate exploits, exploited, and provided they fixed them, then roll back. If not they'll just be used again, obviously. I'm all for fairness. I mostly feel for those who where locked out because of billing and other shit that was out of their hand. Anyway, admin server just went down. It's nice to see some activity. |

Nip the problem in the bud and wipe the server before people have too much time invested into the game and really have something to gripe about. The first week of any launch should be considered an extended beta where the devs get to see how the servers react to a heavy load and a 'live' environment. It's a good thing that certain glitches were brought to light in the first 24 hours, I think. Fix em, wipe the servers, and let us all start anew without the sync issue. In the long run, no one will care what happened in the first 24 hours of the game. At least, I'd like to think people have te foresight to see that a wipe now would benefit the overall game progression in the future. http://raov.org |

If they don't have a server wipe, they may end up losing the other half of their population. Throwing the term "Carebear" around doesn't help your argument, either. |

No wipe, just ban the exploiters (by credit card number and/or name on credit card), and reset the cities =P

Originally posted by Drasken And if that was all that it was, I'd be fine with it. Let the organized guilds get their cities first while I noobishly try to figure out how to skin goblins. But when the organized, legit guilds are working hard to fund the construction of their bank the exploiting guilds have the funds and gear to bank roll an unbalancing advance of construction, crafting and pvp. That's my gripe. |

they will lose fare more by Whiping the servers then they will by keeping the servers the way they are you still Do not graspe the consept that the guilds that have there city stones all ready KNOW what they are doing and are Doing it well and hey if it so much a consern for you then get a few of your friends and by a few i mean 100+ friends and go take over a city for your self you can do that you know and i say 100+ becuse 1 player in this top guilds are like 3 of you for ever 1 you might kill 3 of yours will surly Die

Adventurine probably doesn't have the manpower, nor know-how to do this effectively. And since it is still in the first few days, a wipe isn't that extreme. |

but as stated befor in another Thred by Faided There are mobs in the game with fast respawn dropping gold at the rate of 100+ per kill. Get an organized guild from beta... 35k wouldnt be much of an issue it seems. You all seem to forget something here. This is not a level based game. They dont need to wait tll they have "end game" skills to attack harder mobs numbers work well.
how are you 100% sure this guilds are exploting ? as i said befor the guilds that have there clans stone all ready all ready know where to go what to kill where to be and the ones that are not likly Dont |

Yeah, but I have a feeling that a lot of the people who took advantage of the situation are not inherently bad people. From what I hear the exploit was reported during beta but was overlooked and didn't make it in. I think fixing the issue and rolling back would be sufficient. It's not as if these guilds were duping, rolling speed hax or anything of that sort. |

I don't think a wipe will lose many subscribers. Most people who have their cities/hamlets/clans were certainly at least somewhat prepared before launch and will be sticking around. Exploits, if they were significant, is one thing. I feel the real problem is all the people who have been locked out. |

My guild has a city (which only cost 10k to acutally get). We had over 25 people online and were the 6th one to get a city. We did not make money off of the sync problem and used the ingame chest mechanic (and beta info) to make the money. PLEASE dont think all guilds did this. We worked hard for 8 hours to get our city and i will be VERY pissed if it gets taken away. |

I guess it depends on what the definition of an exploit is. I wouldn't called that an exploitation, I'd call that bad AI. |

Yes the bad programming of the AI makes it open to exploiting the AI....... |

Right. Also consider those who couldn't get into the game, it's not their fault. |
