This game has a very sloppy launch. You get notified of guilds getting a city. I have witnessed people attacking mobs that are not attacking back. People are exploiting these mobs to fund there guilds. Very sad. The rest of the mobs you cant even fight because there invisable. I cant see other PCs that are hitting me. They need to pretty much do a complete server wipe. Most guilds have exploited there funds and thus gotten unfair advantages over others. The only reason Darkfall has kept the game servers up for so long is to save face for there company. So others can spread the word that there game is actually live.

I would support a server wipe.  It would be fair to those whom have not had the ...privledge?... to play because of account problems.   Regardless... if they don't wipe it, I'll be starting my main on an alternate server once it comes out.

They have kept the servers live so they can figure out and fix the sync issues. And saying everyone is exploiting is obiviously not true.

Yes, people are exploiting, but I can handle that. Just means my guild has more city targets to lay siege to

Now, with that said, they need to take down the servers A.S.A.P. and get a patch up to fix these issues. It was fine this morning....

Variety is the spice of life, unfortunately, it's also the bane of balance.

Exploiting is not good news at all... Although there is that saying. "If it can happen, it will happen." It's an unfixed bug... what're they gonna do, ban half their current players?

They wont whipe, all these bugs were in beta however they havent fixed em.  They needed our money to pay their bills so we can watch them fix them while we pay them

Yep normally I would not cry foul but there are huge exploits going on. I'm in a NA/EU guild and we were fortunate enough to get a respectable amount of people in with pre-orders on a few of us were in beta so most of our folks are just learningthe ropes. but clans with less then 6 people are claiming City stones in under 12 hours of play. This needs the exploits fixed and a clean restart full wipe. They wer fixed a week ago and now we have the same bugs back in game.

I guess if killing invisible monsters (and other players) is exploiting than I am guilty.    My guild worked its tail off today though the majority of us couldn't see others in our party, the monsters we were fighting and the pk's we were defending against.

We adapted and persevered and earned the gold for our guild charter and our city.   I'd have to say I was pretty darn proud of the job we did despite tremendous difficulty.    There were those who out of frustration, balled up and quit and others who plugged away knowing that the first couple days were crucial to getting the city that they wanted.

You could either learn how to fight things you couldn't see or you could log off.   Neither was a good option but if having to attack based on sound direction and blood splatter is exploiting to you, then I guess I am guilty.    I sure would have rather had it the easy way.

How is that an exploit?

Building a city in 12hours is perfectly feesible with 6 people... They're also incredibly vulnerable to be taken over.

I got 750 gold+ per hour while questing. Heard of people getting 1000+ on certain mobs +quest for them. My clan claimed a city and noone was exploiting. We played beta and we know how things work. It's not fair for those who didn't played in beta but i'ts not exploiting.

And so what if someone claimed a city. You can siege it and take for yourself.

Exactly. I forgot the numbers, but i know it's around 5-10k to get a city going.

Not very expensive at all.

BUT you're also very vulnerable and can be taken over as I doubt any upper echelon stuff has been built or that you're very capable of fighting.

It's not an "exploit" to know where available clanstones are and how to build them. If you read the stuf people in beta were sayin when the NDA was lifted, you'd be privy to all of that info too.

No guys, there are, in fact, bugged mobs that do not fight back and drop 200g a piece. Many well organized guilds knew this prior to launch and had all planned out the fastest way to start farming them.

There have been guilds admitting to this in the irc channels. Supposedly it was reported in beta but nothing done about it so they all consider it legit.

Even if that is truth then what? If they suck at game good for you. You will have more loot. If they are better you then you  would loose your sh1tz anyway.

In beta I was averaging 700+ gold an hour solo in one of my spots against fully functioning mobs. This isn't counting the extra 300-500 gold i got in beta selling the regeants.

But yes most of the guilds that got a city up really early today are the same ones that exploited the same mobs in beta. They were called out in the beta forums and said "but we reported it" yet still did it today.

So while i'm sure some guilds are doing this legitly, some are exploiting and don't care.

while YOU GUYS pay them, I'm not giving them money, they are no charity. I will happily play when the game is done though (if it doesn't tank, there's a 90/10 chance it will tank)

Well the guild called SUN is making full use of exploits -- there are also several others. But ya, their defence is that the bugs were reported in beta and not fixed so they are to assume it's legit for them to do it.

the problem with this is that DF is a lot more gear and pot based than skill based.

What you expected what would happen on DFO launch?

Do you really think the majority of players who want the "so called" hardcore pvp (nothing more that grief/ganking) are educated / honorable gamers?

Exploiting, hacking, botting are more related to "hardcore pvpers" as to "carebears", since the later dont care if they are actually better that you, they just want to enjoy the game.

7 in 10 DFO players are gankers, griefers with a strong believe that "showing their strenght" in a GAME has some "special meaning". So enjoy the "feeling".

And for godsake lets stop with this shit "skilled player will overcome any bug, exploit, hack", since it isnt true.

PS: DFO be praised,  it will suck a big part of the scum from others mmos.

Yah, I'm beyond angry. I played ALL day and was never able to finish my first two noobie quests due to sync issues. I could not see people in my party, could not see mobs, could not collect gold and could not even get a guild  using legit method.

This is a really unfair way to start the game.

Don't worry, by some twist of fate I'm sure it's only that bad for you.

With the reputation that Adventurine has with not communicating certain bugs and exploits and such or even acknowledging they are there, I'm not surprised.  I'm just a bit dismayed since, if and when this gets fixed, those guilds that did have the advantage, will still have it.  I know Adventurine has said that they are "fixing" the most  important bugs at the moment, but in the long run, isn't this exploit a big bug.  Just my opinion.

No, it wasn't just that bad for me...it was like that for 80% of people.

But it was good for 20% or so, hence the unfairness.

Don't worry about it, it was a hit against the overzealous fanbots ! I know it's that bad for most people.

Actually it was that bad for me.   I just didn't hang around the starter town goblin spawns because it was futile.   I did the first two goblin quests there so I could afford a better starter weapon.   One quest I had to collect 4 axes and since it was impossible to beat out the 20 other people trying to kill the same goblin I just looted one their corpses when they were killing each other off and got my 4 axes that way.
