This is crazy if you go to the daily hit count for darkfall on this website its a 27,000 for just a day where as warhammer the runner up is only a like 3,000 thats just crazy

there is so much drama going on with darkfall doesnt surprise me

I was bored at work cause a lot of people wussed out with the 2 inches of snow.. I think I made like 3k of those 27k hits lol

I think there even 3th or 4th mmo with most post on this forum.

When the official forum and IRC channel are both turned off of course the hit count here is going to skyrocket

We are sick and tired of other mmos. They are worthless pieces of trash.

Darkfall is the only good thing for us people.

Eight years of hype will lead to a certain interest.

There is a high level of entertainment simply watching the game try to release. 

Most fun on forums is all the drama atm.

I throw from time to time a glance at the DF Forum here as its good entertainment.

Yes and supporting any old developer regardless of their practices is the right way to go about it. Carry on like that and you'll never get your dream game.

Yea all those hits in one day... and yet Aventurine could not figure out the demand for the game was higher than they thought....

Aye, it is another sign that the (here comes the S word ...) sandbox and unforgiving ffa pvp crowd is alive and kicking. Even though we have been starved to near death the last years ...

Now, now, this is his second dream game. His last one was DnL (go over to the forums and read his posts over there).

Of course this is his true dream because he is the CEO of M.I.N.E. Inc a ficticious company that is going to hire people to gather resources for them and then sell them in game. Basically a "farmer" company, you know like the Chinese....the people that are still developing his first love DnL through a bankrupt company called Snailgames..

And I think it is pretty remarkable that an indy company without any mentionable advertising budget or communication skill manages to get hyped so much. On one hand I think it is the long dev time, on the other hand I think the game formula appeals very strongly to a specific crowd, like mentioned before. There just aren't any alternatives to those who want to play a fantasy inspired mmorpg centered around unforgiving pvp in such a vast and open world.

yep.  which is why Aventurine can potentially get away with murder, and all kinds of shennanigans, and still be successful.   just like ANY unique product that has alot of interest and no competition.

people keep trying to compare them & DF to all these traditional MMORPGs that have basically NO leeway for screw-ups, because of a simple little concept that most people seem oblivious to.

supply and demand

every typical MMORPG is going up against around 250 typical MMORPGs.  and that makes all the difference in the world.

Everyone wants a piece of the bashing :).

only reason i come here is because its like passing by a car accident, you dont want to look, but you just have too.....
