As you may have read in earlier posts of mine, I'm no fan of AV. Not at all. But seriously, the only thing you have to go on here is from one update to another. You aren't any closer to purchasing the game or having your account enabled by posting 500 seperate threads for one topic that could consolidated in one thread.

Another thing, STOP FLAMING THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE MADE POSTS ABOUT THEIR EXPERIENCES INGAME TODAY. If you want information about the game, it helps to get both sides before you pull an AoC and pay $50 for a shit game.

Right now you guys need to stop and realize what a prey you are to this company. You are anxious, excited, and curious, and all three of those things might make you $50 poorer. You need information. The way people are acting on this forum right now reminds me 100% of the culture that got AoC 1 million pre-orders and now only 70,000 subscribers. But hey, if you want to waste your time whining here and your money buying something you don't know all you can about, go ahead.

What info about the actual game would you guys like to know?

Couldn't agree more. The thing about AV that people understand is that they only have 30 people, all of which I'M SURE are working as hard as they can to get everything moving as quickly as possible. AV is still a new company and this is their first release, people should have realised there would be problems and if they didn't then they need a reality check. Hell, WoW had a terrible launch from a company that had been around for awhile and they're going on 12 mil. subscribers. Stick with the game people, it WILL get better.

Actually you did. You dug into his posting history and blew out of proportion some things he said in the past (even though they were still posted after the date he got banned) and tried to discredit his arguments with that. There was nobody more hostile to him in that thread than you, and it was hardly because he was going on an ego trip. The discussion on that thread was mostly about the game.

Dude, you attempted to derail the discussion by concentrating on the OP's post history instead of commenting on his actual post. Eventhough the OP said that he barely posts on MMORPG.com and mostly visited Forumfall.

That's pretty much doing the same thing as when someone posts "lolz darkfall sukz" -- it contributes nothing to the discussion nor the overall forum.

This thread shouldn't make you less willing to post a review. It's needed right now because most people considering to buy this game (like me) don't know what to think.

I guess I should have said I cant help you unless you understand what I wrote. The whole point of the thread was him apologizing for pushing Darkfall on other players. I went to his post record and found out he did not do what he said he did on MMORPG at all, he never posted a positive thing about the game. So why post it here? He said he wanted to post it on the DF forums, because he was "forcing DF on the ppl at the DF forums"? Lol. The whole purpose of his post did not make sense in the context in which it was presented.  Oh and his comments about "CS kinfe fighting" were from early beta experiences before they even added in diffrent weapon speeds ect....

Oh an he was banned from beta fairly early on for mega-trolling.

uhmmm no. the best advice would be to contact darkfall customer support instead of jamming up the forums of this site. they delayed the game in Jan so they could get their billing and support up to speed, obviously they sat on their thumbs for a whole month. they took pre-orders to gauge demand yet they have no customer support in place to satisy the demand.

I would save your breath.  People have spent years trolling this game with no basis for any of it.

Now they have something tangible to troll about there is no way they are going to let it pass.

I will not post a review on this site because I Will only get called names. I see both good and bad things about the game.

I simply do not have any incentive to post my thoughts only to be called a fanboy, or a troll.

What a self-contradicting statement. First of all, the country you live in doesn't matter. You acknowledged that yourself when you talked about the forum moderators.

I won't apologize for asking people to treat with respect the people who take 20-30 mins out of their day that they could be using to play the game to instead come here and tell us all about how the game experience is.

The problems with the latest bumper-crop of reviews is that no one seems to be able to give an unbiased opinion on the game.   I have yet to see a review where one person gave both pros and cons of the game, it is usually loaded with shortsightedness or stupidity.

What people need is a limited trial, since not everyone's is the same there is only one way to form a true opinion and that is to try the game out.  Developers will not release trials at launch because they themselves are not secure in their game.  They know that if they offer a trial at release they will lose a pile of box purchases.

If you can't deal with not being able to play on day one, don't purchase.

if you can't deal with waiting on a new developer to get their billing system in order, don't purchase.

If you can't deal with waiting on a new developer to work out the typical kinks on a first MONTH (yes I said month, these issues are probably going to be their sporadically for a month--more so with them being a new, indie developer that folks have been saying) then don't purchase.

it doesn't require a review to understand those three points. The game probably has the best game play (with stuff missing that they could not make into launch but will be patching in later) I've read about in a while. When you actually get in game to ACTUALLY PLAY, I hear its fun. All of this has nothing to do with the technical issues.

If you aren't patient enough to deal with the technical issues right now, wait a month (or six as I'm doing) then come back. Because if you pre-ordered or purchase now you are basically paying for an incomplete game (just like most mmo launches--and especially NOT surprising int his case), so don't complain if you get through all the billing issues and still CAN'T PLAY RIGHT NOW.

this forum is too polarised, so much so that it almost forces you to pick a side.

trolls only think that negative reviews are any good, while fanboys only think good review are of any worth.

if you post both, one side focuses on the positive, the other focuses on the negative, it turns into a big stupid flame war, rinse and repeat.

what I would liek to know is why the haters find it so hard to accept the fact that maybe some people out there genuinley enjoy and liek every aspect of the game... and thats not a bias, its just how it is sometimes.
