It has everything F2P games have...

- Low budget servers

- Crappy website with minimal, if any, updates

- Limited dev team

- Lack of content (empty world, not many dungeons)

- Subpar graphics and animations

- Ridiculously slow development, release time (7 years for not much)

- Utterly unprofessional

- Ancient UI

- Content replaced with grind

Sounds like a typical korean f2p game to me, how is this justified as P2P grade material?

Revolutionary and it can be potentially the best MMO since EQ if they do their shit right.

Remember, EVE started out like this.  It's only a group of two dozen people, give them time and they possibly will deliver.

Actually many F2P games have good servers and a good website especially the ones with item shops.

If you played Darkfall you would know why it is not F2P.

because we know there won't be anyone interested enough in it to purchase items from the item mall?

This is a message to the general populace of MMORPG.com as it is literally a black hole of fun that once you are swallowed up by, it is very hard to escape and makes everything in gaming a little less fun. Best thing you can do is do your own research and stop reading these boards because nothing will ever be good enough and everything will suck always forever if it makes its way into a discussion here.

I cant belive you just compared this launch to EvE's

EvE at least launched on time with a fully working game with most of the features promised online. And CCP still had a budget which they used to expand the gamer and clientbase.

Adventurine however hasant launched on time and it seems many of the promised features are missing and they are pretty much Broke [hence the quick release and digital download]. And right now the only expanding i can see is patching and perhaps adding some of the origonally promised features.

The only real simialrity between Adventurine and CCP is the fact they are both indie developers releasing there first sandbox game.

If you're serious about having a fun game, it has to have an admission price -- even if only to keep out the random riff-raff.

The game is releaseing, it is actually real.

Your idiotic war is over.

Now how about you just let people play it who want to play it and not worry about it since you obviously dont.

Why should it be free when they've spent money making it and there happens to be way more people willing to pay the going rate than they can accomodate?

Yes, i guess you got me there. Perhaps it still will not release and you are free to ride that horse until it is finally dead.

But i think we both know it is near dead now.

I really dont care, i doubt i will be playing the game. But your just saying shit now to say shit.

First it was never going to release, now it may release but should be F2P because it sucks so bad.

Im sure you have a whole lineup of stuff you can say for every possible outcome for this release.

But hell, i'll answer your stupid original question for you. Because they can make money off of the game. There are obviously people wanting to play it or you wouldnt be having such a wonderful little hate war.

F2P hehe you guys are Hillarious and clusless all in one. I guess coming here knowing jot about the game qualifies you to post stupid threads.

If you can't be bothered playing the game then I am not going to waste my time explaing, I guess I just feel like laughing out aloud.

Best PvE and PvP in a long time all mixed into one... oops there you go.

It's funny you say all this but you miss the point - demand.  People simply want to play this game and most are willing to pay.  AV might have screwed up a lot, but people are willing to pay to play and they are not so stupid they would turn that down.

I haven't played the game, I've kept up on it, and attempted to pre-order it, but I have never seen a F2P game with even slightly the amount of demand this game has.

So your answer : Money, duh!

Peace,

Saddie

ps: i kinda starting to feel sorry for Anastasios Flampouras, i mean just think about, show some sympathy, how poor he must be when almost everything and everyone conspired against him.

Because if it was f2p, nobody but 9-year old would play it.  I will never play f2p game again.

But you did forget to mention all the good things, the things that actually matter.

You know why it's not F2P... It has over 100k fanboys that will lap up anything Tasos and AV feed them. If I had that pull I'd do the same thing.

I can't believe how bad this launch is lol. I want the game to do well but this isn't a good start.
