Look at Wish.  Wish was a niche game that failed 2 weeks prior to release after they had so much bad feedback from open beta.

Dark and Light and Tabula Rasa are EPIC failures at its best.

Ppl who say it isn't ready bullshit i'm a beta tester and the game have simple bugs not bad ones just really small ones and nobody minds those. Ignore everyone saying darkfall isnt ready or that it's being delayed again. People got their preorders so it's no delay ppl didn't get their preorders last time but they got it now. It will come out today or tomorow nobody knows the time their releasing at is appairently at 24th feb atm we are at 25th but their at 24th it seems :/

Worst (and most ghetto) launch ever (for a non-F2P game).  It was to be expected though.  Hopefully with all of your monies they can afford to update the site, take the beta sign-up buttons down and actually throw up some new stuff.

Go back to your mass corporate produced games of watered down numb skulled gameplay mechanics and shallow "content".

Probably a fat mcdonalds eater too, i prefer something where the packaging might be lame, but it tastes better than processed turd.

No one can call me optimistic about this game, but lets save all the doom and gloom posts and actually give the team a chance to release their product.

Everything and most of all the very very poor communication tells me that this is a small company without much needed resources to handle this. But lets give them a chance and if they pull the launch off and have players happy to pay for a game still somewhat in beta state, maybe that will give them the funds to make it a very good game in a couple of months, who knows?

When a game has more negatives than positives, that makes it garbage.

From everything I have seen and for everything others have posted, The negatives to me more than out weigh anything positive in the game.

Your opinion is DF is great, Mine is that isn't worth my time or my money.

We can pull down MMORPG.com game list a sec, and there are easy 10 games on that list that shit on DF graphics and animations wise.

There are 10 games on that list that do any given aspect of DF better.

The ONLY thing I can tell that DF has that others games do not is the ability to loot a body of a person you kill.

So THAT is worth full game price and 15 bucks a month? The ability to loot a body?

No thanks I will pass, It isn't even a good looking pvp game, like I said If I wanted to John McEnroe someone to death I wouldn't do it in DF, I would get a sword and head to a tennis court....

Yeah that is how bad the melee animations are in this game, looks like a tennis backswing over and over 7000 times. With a blood poof after every swing.... pretty lame.

Sad part is, for people who know better, you don't even believe in the game yourself. Which is evident because you all vigorously defend it so much. A truely great game needs no defense. DOesn't even need a post. It just delivers.

Head over to the wow forum and look at all the hate... I rarely post there, you know why? Not because I play it, I used to but I stopped.

WoW doesn't need to be defended. Because wow defends itself. WoW eats competition for breakfast and spews remains of dead games all around it. It doesn't need fans to back it up. Every fan of wow on the planet could never visit a forum, and it wouldn't make that game any less than it is right now.

FFXI another game that will always stand the test of time. Years have passed and it still hanging on to about the same subs over a constant amount of time. It doesn't need defense on a forum cause it is just that good.

LotRO had prolly the best launch of any MMO to date. It also has some of the smoothest gameplay and better community fo the games on the market today. People try to bash it, but what are you bashing really? Nothing because LotRO speaks for itself. It is just that good.

What does DF say? It says I have horrid graphics with horrid animations, with mediocre gameplay on a system so bad hackers can tear me apart. With a dev team so small and in experienced it couldn't deal with them if it wanted to. Hell it can't even release on time, much less deal with cheaters.

Yeah DF needs you guys here, it needs defense and it needs all the help it can get.

So I don't care what you guys say or do. Have fun in a mediocre world, if you can ever get into it.

If a game has bad graphics, it must therefore have great gameplay.

Indie companies produce unique and high-quality products, while corporations produce mass market garbage.

Unfortunately, neither of the above statements is necessarily true.  Plenty of indie game companies have produced crappy games in the past.

I haven't played the game yet, so have no idea what it's like and therefore can't comment on it.  They have done a pretty lousy job with the prelaunch so far, however.  I do think all the high schoolish "it's cool to hate anything popular" mentality is pretty amusing.

More people than you think, and more people than the developers expected, hence the fact they can't keep the forums up, there are too many people trying to access them. Small company planning a "niche" game that seems to be attracting more than the niche target eh? If only a small percentage of people were gonna play it then things would of gone fine.
