Ouch! Too bad that.

p.s. How long / what does it take to get one of those modules?

i would say at least a week maybe up to 2  weeks depending with 10-15 people helping

1 to 2 weeks for 1 module and you need 1000 modules, that's 20 years. Nice

for all /slap 50 stone and 50 timber = 1 module

Communication failure.

So how long does it take for one player to farm the resources and make one module?

hour ish if they have the gold 2 if not probly a lil longer

so lets say at most 2k man hours for it maybe alil more

Presumably the person and who ever else is helping only have to carry the modules necessary for the guild bank once, after that you can use the universal banking system instead.

I was not aware that Darkfall had a working encumbrance system yet, so far from what I have seen people are carrying huge amounts of items and materials even mounts and ships without any noticeable effect on there movement speed or stamina consumption whatsoever, presumably "I dono probly they weigh you down tho ALOT" is just speculation or perhaps wishful thinking.

shadow line bug and stretched FOV in widescreen are killers for me personally.

they fixed fov a lil bit

shadow line bug should be fixed sooner or later but if them 2 things make the game bad then you dont know what a  good game is because them 2 thing shave nothing to do with game play even tho it took me abit to get use to thatd rn line (im wondering why they ahvent fixed it yet hopefully release patch they will have it fixed

LOL 50 stone makes you run slow 51 is really slow armor and weps and stuff arent close to being as heavy but it will encumbrance you if you have enough on you uni banks are suppose to have a limit on them

so 5 kilograms each  off the top of my head

So there is only realy a noticeable effect on encumbrance when you carry over the majick number of 50 units of a crafting resources?, but not usable items and equipment or ships and mounts? thanks for clearing that up.

Because ive seen people with absolutely huge amounts of garbage in there packs and it does not seem to have any noticeable effect on movement speed or stamina consumption, not that it really matters when nearly everyone will be macroing resources and/or grinding on Mobs in the safe zones a short distance from the universal banks anyway.

safe zone lmao no safe zone for clan members and macroing will get you killed

the towers in town cant protect you from a group of people

clan city cannos are stuff all have to be manned then you have yoru back turn and cant see whatss coming form behind you and peopel can shot you with arrows from behind a tree

being mining have gotten killed in town pretty easyly its almost safer to do it int he middle of no where with a buncha people and stone is the onylt hing i know of at  50 it starts to encumbrnace you wood is lighter it hink alogn with other stuff iron might be just as heavy tho

and that no where near the clan bank or city bank thats one oyu have to search for

Was AV drunk when they built those walls?   The left entrance doesn't even line up.

I'd just stick with rafts and have fun running ppl over in the water.

So, it takes 1 hour if you have required gold to build a module... about 2 hours if you don't

A large shipyard takes 1000 modules or 1000 to 2000 man hours.

Can you provide a link or list how many modules other elements take to build?

Darkfall: the golden turd.

2/24/09 12:18:48 PM#39

it does not look better than aoc cities. I'm not bashing the game, but come on people be realistic. alot of the reason df screens can look good or bad is the water graphics are way more outdated.

city building sounds pretty identical to aoc, you grind resources like a whore and then building in pre selected spots. have timers and complex siege systems. of course the great thing about DF cities is they are smack in the middle of the game world not instanced away with limited people fighting like aoc.

You do realise it's a computer game, yes?

And you do realise Darkfall has no safezones, yes?

I think gathering near a guard tower could be considered a safezone.

Looks are surprising it actually has some of the best graphics and worldscape I have seen i a MMO.

Problem is it is so immersive and you tend to be more interested in staying alive.

Well what the hell is it still doing in debug mode, can't you understand that? Debug mode is in Alpha testing AV took a new spin on Beta and not a good one. Clearly their amateurism shows.

The hole in the wall is filled by a building.  There is only one entrance when the city is built up fully.

Also, that city site is one of the least creative that I have seen.  Other cities have much more interesting layouts.

Sucks they have walls and cannons now though, I used to love ambushing them.

Really?  More info please?

Apparently, according to some people, many player cities have been built, sieged, defended, captured and destroyed.

Yet despite all the apparent experts here, no-one can provide simple information on the number of modules required to build the basic building elements?
And a city with walls and cannons is keeping everyone away?  Do the cannons have to be 'manned' or are they automatic?

Bump for an answer.

It's weird... every  time I actually ask a question that people should be able to answer (considering how the Beta has been going on for so long and everything is so well tested) I get...
