dark crag has had quite a while of being the most popular server on warhammer , but up untill the latest server transfers took place , iron rock has now become the most popular server in warhammer.

so the questions  that  I pose to all of you is.

will this make people from dark crag or any other server for that matter want to jump ship and become part of iron rock. 

or will there be a competetion for peoples intrest to play on either server for the next 6 to 8 months

open world is dark crag.

core is iron rock.

i was on averheim and then went to ungrim and now on iron rock.....

another question i have is.. is mythic happy about the latest development ?

The mood isn't exactly peaches over on Iron Rock with Altdorf being sieged 4 times in 4 days

Which would you recommend for a returning (but seemingly new) player?

Nah, I play on Pheniox Throne its a stable and good server to play on so I dont feel the need to jump ship. Over population also has its problems.. (like barrens chat and que times). People are only gonna switch if there server is empty or they wanna try out the other side.. I might just roll a destro alt someday on there to check it out.

well , on both sides for order and destro they are allmost about even although there is a tiny bit more order on iron rock. but the way its been is, each night or even during the day sometimes destro some how gets into altdorf.

either order are not rolling out the premades or they are just sitting back with their hands in the pocket from my perspective,.

you will find action on all the teirs. the ques are poping constantly and most importantly . the game is fun again.

but you have to realise though. dark crag  might be open world and might have a lot of people who play on it,.

but its also dangerous, you will have  lvl 20s or so going in in teir 1s just to grief and  will do it with out thinking twice about it,

but for the time being iron rock is the place to go if you want in on city sieges if you are a destro. as for order on iron rock..... they just need to time get to know eaqch other so they can at least stop destro from owning them so much. and its not like order  dose not have they numbers.. they have more people on the server then destro but just by a tiny margin......

as for dark crag i have only played on that server a few times , and its allmost the same but its open world so you have to be carefull also.

but for a new player i would suggest iron rock.... if you like a little more danger though go to dark crag.

It is exactly oposite on Dark Craig. Destruction, who used to dominate server, now finding themselves helpless to stop Order's onslaught.

Even though server allows you to gank people, you will rarely see anyone outside of their quest paths. Most of RvR, even on Dark Crag, is happening in scenarios and RvR lakes. There is really almost no risk or danger in leveling on an open RvR server.

I would say go to where the action is.  

Personally, I would prefer DC, it's more fun there, and has a relatively stable server.

IronRock and Volkmar is a mess now, the environment is just not conducive to new players, too many people shouting, too much zerging back and forth.   Lag and crashes everywhere.

Judging from the forums, this round of xfer has been nothing but a zerg fest.   I don't know how many just left the game altogether in disgust, because of this xfer.

only a couple fromt he forums i have read left because they dont like the lag, but this should be fixed in patch 1.2 .....
 

but the lag only really happens when you got 200 + order defending a keep vs 200+ destro , and its absolutly vital to take the keep so you can flip the zone to go to altdorf .

but the way it is right now , it might be a mess to some degree, but thats only because  players are now being introduced to each other and are now having to learn all over again how to work together,, as for order they sometimes know how to but most of the time they  dont .

Actually order is outnumbered currently, altdorf resets, 1.5 hours later a zone gets capped. during the day its medium/High or Medium/Full. As it approaches prime time, you start to see Destro start to get a que sometimes the waiting is up to 20-30 minutes long.

Today was the 5th day Altdorf has been on farm. If you want to get your invader gear, join up, just get ready to wait to get in.

I imagine the server will have another transfer session in a month or so, because of population dipping down. then you will start to see low/high.

in certain times of the day it is like that, med high , low med,  but durring the weekends that when its high high or even full full for that matter,

but as for the order being outnumbered, its only during day time hours, at peak . thats when order outnumbers destro.

of course most of order are teir 2 /3  and not at teir 4 range yet but they currently out number us destro.

just not yet in teir 4,, id say about a month or so it will be a whole diffrent story, and destro will be outnumbered in teir 4.

Order doesn't outnumber destruction in any tier on Iron Rock. Before transfers the server was fairly even from what people have said. A huge majority of destruction transferred from Ungrim and REM to Iron Rock expecting most of order to, but a lot of order bailed at the last minute and went to Monolith. The first night there was quite a bit of order, but still outnumbered. Since then the population is dropping quite fast. People aren't logging in because destruction is in altdorf everyday.
