I was wondering what do "The People" think the best MMORPG is  I say it's LOTRO anyone agree

Yeah, I heard my friends say that Atlantica is a great game. I saw them playing it. The graphic and battle style was superb.

Other is the best game to date.

Mad props to WoW, AoC, FFXI, and WAR because they all look and play fantastically but honestly, if you want to play something different, try Atlantica Online. Don't worry, it's not crapola like MapleStory or some other game pretending to be an MMORPG out there.

+1 to that johnyboy. Certainly Atlantica has a different atmosphere. However the game is yet to gain the "best mmo" title. Still, most people go for "the popular one."

I voted for "other". My "other" game is Magic of the Gods which is currently my favorite. But it's hard to say what game is "best" without defining what "best" means. Some people want a game with good graphics. Some want unlimited PvP with full loot. Others want no PvP or PvP only if they agree to it. A lot of these are mutually exclusive.

I can say MotG is the best, but since it has lame graphics, lots of people may disagree with me. But to me, it's the best because of the fact that it has by far the best roleplaying and it's the only MMORPG where I've been able to create my own kingdom. Long live the Kingdom of Radnaria!

I wouldn't say that there is a single MMO that is best overall.

Wow: Best art.

AoC: Best graphics.

GW: Best PVP (Arenastyle), Best story.

DoaC: Best PvP (Battle).

Eq/EQ2: best raiding.

WAR: Best world (but they are just using a litle part of it right now).

Linage: Best death penalty (at least in the old days, you lost some XP and sometimes a random item).

Eve: Is the best game that didn't copy a lot from UO/Everquest.

LOTRO isn't best of any of these things but it deserves to be mentioned anyways since it is quite high on many things. And another game who deserve to be named are Biowares Neverwinter nights, not a MMO but a multiplayer RPG, it was really good at the time.

I still wait for that best in everything game, my hopes are to Guildwars 2, old republic online and World of darkness online right now but who can tell how a future game will really be?

i don't agree. everyone has different tastes in games.. for me, i'm tired of the hack and slash kinds.. i like atlantica online, but for others it's no good.. others like crafting and pve only.. while some really want destroying others in pvp.. so the question you're asking is really hard to gauge

yea i like atlantica but i dont htink i can play..i created a character and logged into a server..and then only sound and black screen

World of WarCraft.

I don't play it anymore, I'm sick and tired of it, I'd rather play a korean grinder at this point, but World of WarCraft is, in my opinion, the best game. I don't find it to be too entertaining anymore, and like so many others I'm awaiting a great game to play, but my personal preference isn't really an issue when considering which is the best MMORPG.

As much as I dislike it right now, this is my choice.

GW is my personal favorite aka what I think is best.

As far as a game, GW is be far the best as far as I am concerned. However, it constantly reminds me that it is a game, so there is no immersion. I am not sure what is best for that, but it's not any that I can think of right now.

i can't vote for it cause i hold an opinion that there's only the better but not best.

as we can see. the LOTR being the no.1 mmo for last year is apparantly not the opinion of the people who took this poll.

As above; there is no one mmo that does everything better and it is a personal opinion which game people enjoy the most.

For me I have found LotRO the best experience in mmo's. Mainly because of the mature roleplaying community on my server, the rich nature of the game lore and all that stuff.

for me the best mmo as of today is atlantica online.. i play atlantica and it differs from other mmo's it has stratigical game and cool graphics... but still it depends on the player which they want to play with.. peace!

it's different from other grinders because there are a lot of strategy involved. But the graphics and animations could still be improved in the future.

WOW could easily win this category hands down due to Blizzards superb graphics and gameplay but people sometimes lose interest through time (just like all MMORPGs i guess)

The best MMORPG is not yet released yet... maybe 5 years from now this game would be released... but we would not still be satisfied... it is our nature as humans to yearn for more :D

As an experienced player that has played roughly 15 MMORPGs i would like to say that EVE is a game that is good for people of most ages i would say that the graphics of the game is good so it is easy on the eyes and not pixalised the only downside is that the game is soon going to change graphics so the graphics requirements are going to change if they have not allready. Besides that the gameplay is good, just quite difficult to get your head around at first and if you looking for something to play besides a game you are currently playing then  i this is a good choice.... and it does not hurt to try the trial. www.eve-online.com/
