Been playing since launch, and i have stolen billions in ISK, and have wiped 3 or 4 big corps clean of BPO;s and other resources. Do i feel bad no. The best part is extorting them to get more money by promising to give their stuff back. LOL... I love this game in every way. If anyone wants any tips on how to succesfully rob corps of everything they got shoot me a PM. I will pass along some gaming advice

Im not really into stealing from corps or scamming tbh.

I think the worst thing i've done to a corp was abuse a signing bonus policy they had.

When I first started playing (less then three month old)  a corp offered a 50 million isk signing bonus to new industrial characters.  The CEO had this big idea of going to 0.0 with all these indy characters and making crazy isk.

Well since I didn't really like the guy I made every alt join his corp. so basically 3 characters on each one of my accounts recieved 50 million isk each and I had four accounts.

a easy 600 million isk for me and I left the corp the week after he paid all of them.

Other then that I just blow people up for fun.

Proof or STFU.

But to answer your question, total isk stolen from corps:

0, technically negative ISK since I've given more ISK to corps than I've used usually.  Not everyone needs to rob a corp to get by afterall.

He didn't do it out of need : )

He just enjoys profiting from the suffering and bad fortune of others.

Probably burns ants alive with a magnifying glass for fun too.

Dishonesty and poor moral character seem to be their own reward for some people... which is a good thing! You need to have SOME people you can shoot without remorse in the game.

Can you give us the name of the corps that trusted total strangers with their funds? I need to buy a few t3 ships so I kind of need the money:P

As i have at least a basic level of decency ive never stolen from a corp i was with.

And as for PM you for 'Tips' on how to steal from a corp ill just say that your advice is not needed as this is very easy to do you just need to be patient and slowly worm your way into the Higher Echilons of a corp.

Another great example of Moore's Law. Give people access to that much space (developers and users alike) and they'll find uses for it that you can never imagine. "640K ought to be enough for anybody" - Bill Gates 1981

I have yet to steal 1 isk from a corp. So far i have always played in a tight knit group of people. Egos get hurt, people talk crap back and forth, take bpo's ships items etc..no matter under what conditions i have left any corp I never take stuff. Word of advice, do that enough times, and people will put out a word of mouth against you. Pirate corp or not you would be surprised how many smart CEO's will check your employment history and convo the last corp's ceo to ask why and under what conditions you left. Pretty soon you'll be staring at a corp channel of 2000k+ players since you will belong to an NPC corp and no one will take you. But hey thats just my two cents.

Nothing.
In a game built on scamming and dishonesty honesty is a commodity with a value exceeding the isk acquired by shedding it.

Wow. Thank you for so elegantly distilling the idea that is at the core of the EvE expericence for so many of us.

If there were some kind of forum awards I would nominate you for one.

I just left a great corp and had the opportunity to steal billions worth of items.  The thought of simply moving the corp hanger's items into my own private hanger never crossed my mind; I guess it takes a very different mindset to play as the OP plays.

My main reason for leaving the corp is I wanted to go a different direction than where the corp is currently heading.  I am leaving on a good-foot and still hang out in the corp's pub channel.  Pretty soon I'll be part of a new merc corp so if you need a hired gun send me a PM.

Its not hard to steal from a corp.  The real question is do you want to sink yourself so low that you pretend to be someone's friend for however many months just to get some items?  Heck, running lvl 4missions I can make billions in the time it takes you to worm your way into the corp to steal stuff.  Also the intel channels will quickly pass your name along and you will soon find yourself blacklisted everywhere.

Eve is about who ever has the most ISK wins, pretty much and just being able to be a pirate/swindler is very cool and a reason a lot of people like this game. I mean you do have to put in a lot of time, build frienships to get in a position to completely backstab and rob someone, but the thrill of doing it is just great. then rinse and repeat.

Cool story brah.

No, I'm not going to pander to the crowd here and say I don't think you stole ISK. I'm sure you have, but millions != billions, and even then, corporate thefts have to actually have a decent motive for them to be worthwhile.

For example, if I was ever to want to get a Wyvern for Sofia (which is like...soon™), I'd steal it, because the ISK investment to ISK return ration is a lot higher if you're screwing over a couple of idiots in Hulks that think because you can fly a capital you are a "hardcore PKer".

Idiots.

No, I don''t care about your opinion.

Idiots? I think your being harsh. If you have no integrity or sense of honor why pretend to have it in a game?

It never crossed my mind to steal from my own corp. Infiltrating an enemy corp and stealing from them is fine though, but never done that either.

I can't help but think that posts like these are usually written to

-brag about your robbery, to show people what  a space thug and how badass you are, or

- hope that there are others out there like you to make you feel better over a thing you have done and are having second thoughts about.

Either way, good luck with your future endevaurs.

Oh, and, in after "shut up with your e-honour code, this is what makes EvE so cool" post.

I could care less about e-honour. Infact, I'd say it's more amusing to not have any, so that all the people that try to transfer their RL morals onto the internet are utterly shocked and apalled.

My point is, save your reputation for something epic if you are going to screw someone over. Mundane corporate thefts and backstabbing people for say...a couple of BS or a Carrier just aren't worth it in the long run.

...So trusting. While I am not the type to steal, even in a game. I highly recommend that the only asset you account as yours within EVE is your personal wallet. Unless your corp is comprised of only people you know IRL.

But as long as you know the risks, do what you want. This message is mostly for newbies, "newbies" and 'newbies'.
