I'm just amazed, and this goes for other FPS games to, that in this year of 2009 developers still haven't worked in inertia when turning around and lazily just allow players to turn their avatar as fast as their mouse allows.

Would think that their would be more tactics in fighting if body mass had something to do with turn rate so being a 2.4 m giant at 200kg would make you turn slower than if your a 1m 30kg freaking fary.

Anyways, looks a bit dated but will probably cater to some people.

And since u mentioned a leaked post ill mention one too.

If u go back to the same site ull see a post about a clan vs clan battle involving 3 clans and little to no lag.

I'm talking about a released game where the servers will actually be under stress and people from all over the world try to play. And less lag giving you a significant advantage over others in this kind of system. And I've explained these things countless times, and I'm frankly tired of it by now since all you people do is say "it won't be a problem" without giving any reasons.

No, u where talking about a post that expressed concerns about lag during a siege battle in Beta, and i showed u why u where wrong in being concerned about that.

Now u are talking about whether or whether not Darkfall will manage its launch, well thats what an MMO is, a game with alot of ppl, if they cant manage what every other mmo has then we obviously have a problem. 

 

And about Dual-characters, that would mean two accounts as only one is allowed per.

So? You really think that will keep it from happening?

it will keep it from being a problem, not saying it wont happen, some ppl have the money to spare. But frankly its hardly needed, being red isnt that hard to get rid off anyway.

OK....one more time. Before I resign back to lurking.

 

1)  I'm not complaining about Darkfall having PvP. I said it is all about the PvP and people looking for something else as their priority will be driven out I THINK. I like my PvP, but I also like other things, you know. So I said that this game is likely for those that have their FOCUS on PvP. I didn't even say it's a bad thing. And you, in all your fanboi glory, could only come up with "go back to WoW n00b!"? Brilliant.

 

2) I've talked about several things. The concerns I have expressed over my active time on the DF boards which, in that time, have caused people to label me as a troll. Among those were graphical issues as well as lag issues and others. I expressed them here again. Sorry I did not list them all. And nothing you showed me tells me I am -wrong-. One leak says this. Another says that. So which one is more valid? The one that glorifies your game? or the one that doesn't? Who knows? You? No. Me? No. So I will continue being concerned, thank you.

 

As for them not managing a lot of people...they've already admitted that they can't. So much for that?

 

3) So the consequences that are so highly praised aren#t actually that harsh? I thought being an outlaw was supposed to be a big deal? Now you#re telling me it's just a minor bother? Hmm....doesn't make it any better if you ask me.

 

Finally, go dig your claws in someone else. i did not even attack your precious game in my original post. I stated that no concerns of mine have been alleviated, and they haven't been. I stated that the game will be for the PvP-Focused crowd, without bashing or insulting them, and in turn I get the standard "go back to WoW" stupidity.

Dude, just drop it, its like trying to discuss religion and the existence of God with a Christian... Make any attempts to look at things with just a tad of disbelief and or critisiscm, and the discussion is over, well, any attempts at a civilised discussion at least....

When i Fired up the video at first i thought it was a joke some other crap game that they filmed and put up on youtube because it has happened, but then I realized that , the video is the game tbf, people walking up and down mountains that are just triangles, it just felt horible, it felt when you go to an area on any MMORPG where the devs dont want you to go and its just this bland, low poly, low texture rezzed place.

oh nice or game movie is great! it is nice to see it again
