MMorpg - The blessing, and The curse of modern gaming.

Hey, i played War as soon as it came out. And i remember it as really awesome game at that time! Then sh*t happened, mine modem died and i was with no internet for 3 weaks. I came back to War and found a it quiet as graveyard! :( Everybody were just gone...

I remember the fun of 3 warparties defending a Keep, And 4 Warparties attacking us! It was a blood bath... But after 5hours we had to give the fort to Destruction bast*rds! :D.... That were moust briliant 5 hours i had in any mmorpg!

Mine point is... I really do miss good times in WARR i had. Would love to come back. Specially when more classes added! Was so dissapointed not to see Choppa when War was released.

Now problem is: i am an EU player.. I know US is not too bad, you have a good few high populated servers. But whats the situation on eu? Did they merged some servers? any high/high servers? ( PVP eng)

And moust important, did they did something with scenarios? Or ( plz god) removed them? Is there still some actuall RVR out there lads?

Well, I don't know about the server that you're on, but I have characters on the US servers Magnus (core) and Dark Crag (ORVR) and I find that Magnus is well populated, but slow for the Fortress/City sieges.  Dark Crag on the other hand is always busy, I even play at lunch time and there's enough people on to take BOs and keeps in all tiers....at night I have to queue when logging in.

Something I have noticed, when you queue up and get into the game, anytime you leave after that - examples switching characters, crashes - you don't have to queue up again.  So the queues must be linked to your account and have a timer associated with it.

Do you play on US servers from eu? If yes, did you bought Us version of game, or you can join US servers with any version, like EQ2?

The moment they add ORVR only servers (w/o scenarios) , the day that many people will play again will come.

I'm an EU player and play on Karak Azgal, there is a decent population but the most populated server is Eltharion open rvr.

As of now Karak Azgal, Karak Norn, Karak Eight Peaks, Dragonback Mountains, and Eltharion are all on Med/Med. Eltharion does get to High/High at times though i think.

I'll take it a step further.  Dump the scenarios, make it FFA PVP like Mordred used to be in DAOC and I'll come back.

It isn't coming as one patch, it will be series of patches starting with the already done Night of Murder and ending in either June or July with the Land of The Dead zone being added ect. Patch 1.2 is mean to be out on the 23rd of this month and it has the Bitter Rivals live event, by completeing all the tasks you unlock the right to play the Slayer and Choppa a week early. The Slayer and Choppa will eb available to play in March.

Warhammer Fantasy Battle bro, there was never a "team" or "sides" idea anywhere. You pick an army and fight other armies regardless of race.

There are sides and teams, Dwarfs are a team, Empire are a team, High Elves, Dark Elves, Lizardmen ect are all teams. In FFA you would have HE killing HE, Empire killing Empire ect and that would be a massive abuse of the lore.

Actally there is infighting between the Greenskins and Chaos from time to time but I'll have to agree Warhammer Fantasy Lore (even 40k) don't support 'FFA' in the MMO sence, yea in TT you could have a mirror army match but theres nothing in the lore to state armies like Empire, Dwarf, High Elf, Lizardman, Space Marine etc etc would even war on itself, furest it could be broken down to is race.. which WAR in it's current layout can't support, once the other cities are in... possibly..

Anywho back to the OP: Azgal IS the best populated server in the EU on the EN side at least, it's holidays now for most and we've seen both IC and Altdorf attacked a few times just this week I just hope it's not just the holidays doing this and 1.2 brings it in more... I can't resub.. no moneyz :(

Bring on the WARRRRGGHH!
