hey everybody,  most of you know probably that World of Darkness is in the making but i just saw this article that was posted just a few weeks ago saying maybe 2010, would this even be possible or if anybody has any info on this please post.  here is the link too.  thanks

2010 was the date they set when they started at the game, good to hear that it still seems that way.

WOD is the out of box thinking that the MMO world needs right now. I cant wait for it!!!

My thoughts are that it could very easily be launched in 2010.

CCP has experience building and running and MMO, White Wolf has experience designing and bringing RPGs to life. Both of their previous IPs are based around somewhat similar "5-point" skill mechanics. Personally I felt CCP buying White Wolf was a smart decision, as they'll mesh well together. This means CCP and White Wolf have also been working together for 3 years already. A 2010 launch would put them at about 4-5 years working together, which is a decent amount of time for a new MMO to be developed. Considering that these companies both have experience in the area, and presumably using the already established IP, it's more than enough time.

Also I would commend them on the fact that they're being rather hush-hush on the whole thing. Some companies release their info and start the hype train too early, which can end up backfiring if there's delays, or of people getting tired of hearing the same rhetoric, or people getting too set in their ways of how a game will be expected to play out.

I can certainly see a WoD mmo out in 2010.

Maybe WoD will be a fun game, who knows. It just seems kind of sad that every year people are looking towards next year hoping there will be a fun MMORPG released. I mean if you don't like WoW  or WoW clones, and you don't want to be a spaceship in EVE.

My favorite White Wolf game was Mage the Ascension, I hope mages will be playable classes in this game.

WOD is my crack. My life is over when this MMO launches. I've been waiting for this for such a long time it's not even funny. Being a HUGE (and I mean absolutely huge) fan of the WOD stuff it's like a dream come true for me. The closest we ever got was crappy roleplay sims on Second Life.

CCP and White Wolf will create the most epic MMO ever and I stick by this 100%.

I will definetly "drink the Kool-Aid" when this title is released.

For the record we broke that news, they took it from blues who got it from us. :)

That a side since they have been working on the game to some degree since last half of 2006 and going into full production mode next month on it, its possible for a late 2010 release, almost 2 yrs of full dev time. However given almost every project of this size gets pushed back at least once, the safe bet is 2011 IMO.

If you want some dedicated WoDO forums you can simply pop over to the forums of wod online news. We have a pretty active forum of wod online fans :)

That would be sick if WoD was live in 2010 sometime.   Ive been hoping for a long time that they would make a MMORPG based on the PnP game.   Now hopefully they have learned from other games and will not make the same mistakes.

The only think im worried about is how they would handle Vampires.  Since they can't come out durring the day, what are we going to do durring that time. I hope there is some massive underground places to romp around in.
