End of story. ;)

Again, a regurgitated line. Ayase, with all do respect, you and I both know that 2009 has been beaten to death. Leave the poor horse alone! Now, unless you can come up with a more specific time interval, I will cast this off as nothing more than an obligation on your part to post something because it requires you to do so.

I don't believe that this is the end of the story, either. However, if you are talking about the end of Aion being released anywhere else, then I agree with you. If "end of story *wink*" is your own way of telling us that Aion will not be released in the U.S. then my point remains: Aion is U.S. vaporware.

You sir, are what we call clueless. But a very funny read none the less, thanks Leonidus0.

Put it this way, Aion is shitstorming Asianland like a bad epidemic of SARS.

I've played the game myself on a Korean account, and can tell you first hand the experience was amazing (of course you'll have to just take my word in this case) but trust me when I say NCSoft is not stupid enough to NOT release it in the US.

Nuff' said.

P.S. I want a lil' baby hotdog bun pet =(

It's just the way it is with ncsoft titles. I have played most their titles like lineage 1 and 2. My only gripe with such a late release for the US is by the time we get it theres bots and hacks on the korean servers and they bring them over. Not to mention they get plenty of experience playing the game like 3 months before us so they know what to do before hand giving them a huge head start.

What can you do though? Nothing... just wait it out.

Head start ? Dude you will not be playing with these korean's or chinese players when we get our client. Its not international servers.

If you read what i wrote you would understand. I mean experience playing the game. I know we do not share servers with them. Saying we will not play with chinese or korean players is an understatement. The US servers will be flooded with them, and they will bring their bots over. If you actually played a ncsoft title you would know that by now.

Why create issues that dont even exist? You have no way of knowing just like I dont that they will be flooded with bots. For all we know the game might have no bots whatsoever (which it probably will have some). But why does everyone feel the need to attack the tittle before it even launches over in NA. If you guys think its gonig to be bot infested, please dont play it. let us dilusional people play it instead. We have no problem playing in our own little world.

This guy has a valid point especially if there is a buisness for RMT in Aion. IF there is an RMT market then there will be a flood of chinese/koreans who will join the US servers. Once they do that they have a major advantage knowing what to farm when to farm and how to farm it. I think if you ignore this point you will be in for a rude awakening. Knowlage alone is a major head start.

Would be nice if you had to have a valid SS number to play on the NA server, but i doubt thats going to happen, I am assuming it will be a walk in the park for the chinese/koreans to play on an NA server.

I hate to rub the naysayers noses in the dirt because they must be pretty brown and sore right now.

The "community manager" that replied in this thread has recently been fired from his job due to the job cuts at NcSoft. Furthermore, if that wasn't bad enough for you false-believers, the game has been further delayed to release during the fourth quarter of 2009. What does this mean? This means that the initial speculations and defenses for the May release has been smashed into the ground.

Does this situation present itself as sounding more and more familiar? If you haven't woken up and smelled the coffee yet, the situation of this game parallels that of vaporware games. By the way, the financial statement from NCSoft only gave a prediction for the minimum time period that this game will release. If you want to be over-optimistic, you could say that it might release in the second quarter of 2010. However, and that's a big however, the more this game is delayed, the worse its situation will become.

As such, I will remain with my original standpoint: this game is U.S. Vaporware.

Right on time, just as soon as your thread gets de-railed you come back to post to get back on your troll topic. I bit you win, but your not fooling anyone.

You honesty cant really believe what your saying, your just here trying to get  a rise outta people. Even IF its delayed till quarter 4 of 09 its still coming.

You really need to change your terms I live in the U.S. and can get the game client. So that in itself makes your main point WRONG. Maybe try "English version Vaporware". Even then your still making up words. You obviously do not understand the term vaporware

You got what your here for. I bit on your flamebait, and helped you put you topic back on track, as I am bored. So troll on bro.

Sorry Stay but unfortunately Ayase was the only one not to be offered that choice.  I have no idea why he was the most active CM, at least in the english community. O.o

Or they could just block asian IP addresses like their other games and problem solved.

an IP address block is way to easy to get around (proxy). anyone who followed TCOS can attest to that. Problem not solved! SS number would be the most effective IMO.

My prophecy is becoming more evident to you all each and every day, is it not? The European NCsoft devision has just been dropped due to reasons unforeseen. It is vaporware in Eupore now. What more convincing do you need that the U.S. won't face this inevitable future?

It probably was meant to be released in the EU/US, but if it still is, I don't know what to think atm.

If you only listen to NCsoft you would hear a resounding yes, but take into account the recent job cuts, the amount of delay this game has now, the recent financial data shows Q4, that's 1 year behind Korea. Would it still be profitable to release a game one year later? I have my doubts about a lot of Aion atm. I had since I saw the botting, but now for other reasons, the job cuts, delays, etc.

Please look for an alternative now and not be dissapointed when one, two, four, eight months pass by with no news of Aion's release. It is U.S. vaporware.

Maybe some fact checking would be a good idea? Q4 2009 is a bit slow but doesn't make it vaporware.

Where is everyone pulling this spread from?  Reason I ask is that this could easily be shopped and I would think a company would make something a little more "official" looking.

Oh please, Leonidus got his trolling a lucky break. Congrats.

The job cuts have nothing to do with this game releasing or not. But please do continue to contribute to the fear mongering. The problem is not whether it releases or not but when.

Maybe by the time it releases in the States I will have a full understanding of Korean and won't actually need it.

It's not shopped, it's from the NCSoft site. www.ncsoft.net/global/ir/quarterly.aspx Top most link. I'm sure you can figure the download out, wasn't too complicated for me.

NCsoft has always made these type of diagrams that don't really look professional, but it is official data. If it's correct is another question.

Chart was pretty interesting, looks like they've pushed back US release by 6 months.  Not surprising really, we've typcially been more of a rounding error on these types of games (i.e. Lineage 1, 2)  in the past so its understandable they don't want to rush out and get it to us.

Leonidus,

My company (which is a global company) is a very financially sound company wth very little debt. But since we "shrank" by 10% last quarter they are going to reduce spending and possibly 10% of the workforce.

And in the midst of all that, they are STILL releasing products and making their product pipeline more robust.

this is what companies do. Well, companies that are publicly traded.

Aion is the next big product that they have that is ready to be released as they have nothing else that is ready (develpoment wise) to be shipped.

they are not going to sit on a completed game that can bring them badly needed revenue this year.
