This is a serious question, not a troll.

Six months from now, do you think Darkfall will be called "Dark Fail" throughout the gaming world?  Many people are predicting doom for this game, then the other people say it is the greatest game in the history of mankind...  If this game doesn't deliver big time then all the preaching from fan boys over the past eight years will almost guaruntee that gaming history will remember this project as "Dark Fail".  The devs are not willing to drop the NDA of their game or allow major game sites/journalists to review it before taking pre-orders....  Indicating a fail.

On the other hand, some people think this game will blow everything else out of the water.

Will this game be known as "Dark Fail" or not, what is your prediction?

If it's good of course not.

If it's bad 16 year olds all over the internet will call it Darkfail, everyone else will call it Darkfall.

I'm going to go with Dark n Fail if it isn't any good.

But I still have hope that it might turn out to be a fun game and will wait till I get a chance to try it.

I don't think it will blow everything out of the water.

I think that it will capture a large chuck of the Runescape crowd whom are looking for the next step up in Paying to Play.

It's inevitable Mr. Anderson. The game could have 50 bajillion subscribers and it would still be called Darkfail by some people. It's just too good a jibe to pass up.

There will forever be some people who call this game Darkfail, no matter what happens.  All that the success or failure of the game will do is change how many people call the game that.  It's kind of like how Funcom will always be Failcom to some players, and would remain that way even if they were to release a new game that dominated the market the way WoW does now.

The game is pure FAIL

I mean come on guys grow up a little bit and let us just talk about the game it self. Who cares if it fails or not its a game that some people will like and some wont.

I even doubt that, RuneScape is a half decent game ifyou sit down and play it for longer then 12 hours and subscribe but it still could be much better..

This game doesn't have to deliver "big time".    That wasn't the goal in the first place.    All it has to do is deliver to the people who are wanting to play this kind of game and who also understand it.    Its different.    There aren't those shiny prizes that most everyone is accustomed to.

This game will deliver.   It won't be huge.   It won't be Wal-Mart or McDonalds and it doesn't need to be.   

I think it should be remembered as Darkfail Offline.

So far it seems pretty good thou, beta testers are pretty much all happy.

Only concern ive seen is Aventurine's obvious lack of a proffesional community rep.

Does that influence the quality of the game? ofcourse not.

Game could be good or bad, that has nothing to do with how its being marketed.

So we are left with the words of the ppl who play it.

yes even if it ever gets released,way too much hype around the game. now not by the company itself like there was with aoc and war but players that are over hyping something they never even played. no way for it to live up, and the lack of info at all on the company side has the rest of us leery. i mean they still haven't released system specs yet have they? and they have how long till launch? i and many others will be more surprized if its not just another dark and light than if it is just a scam. i really hope it is everything and more that we all want and hope it does launch flawlessly. we all know bad launch = dead game

I think the game will be forever be known as Dark Banana.
