The folks at the Chronicles of Spellborn have posted the patch notes for the 1.0.2 "Scroll of the Second Path" patch, which adds the game's new tutorial, the Menace system, and more.

Today is the day you all have been waiting for - today we release the patch 1.0.2 - "Scroll of the Second Path". This is a pretty large update, so the daily maintenance, will be scheduled to run between 13:00 to 15:00 CET.

Among the other highlights of this new patch, we introduce a brand new tutorial sequence, which will help players to understand the basic controls of the game in a safe environment. Also, new outdoor opponents called Menaces have been placed throughout the game world. These are tied in with "Wanted" posters providing additional quest for players to hunt these Menaces down. Meanwhile, High House Silver has been busy extending their services further into the areas reachable by the Enclave. Members of the Enclave will now be able to find much needed items through vendors and shop owners located within the villages and cities.

Another week gone by.

Another TCoS article on MMORPG.com.

Another week gone by without TCoS being released in NA and UK.

Surely you don't have a problem with other unreleased games giving updates about what they're doing, do you?

This is indeed a rather large patch. It's great to see that the developers are committed to releasing new content.

For those waiting for the NA/UK release...have patience. Remember that you too will experience the benefit of this added content in good time.

Maybe. I have a bad feeling that the NA/UK will be getting the original release version at launch.

Why would that happen?  What reason would there be not to include the latest bug fixes that are already coded?

No matter...the extra content is there, meaning they will be working on newer content in the meantime.

Their poorly executed launch, such as it is, speaks loudly of either incompletence or perhaps desperation driven by a lack of funds.

I tried Tcos the other day.. i got to fame 5 and did not see a single person the whole time.. i don't know if i picked a dead server but not seeing a single person, or any chat happening in global at all killed the game for me.

i wouldnt let that kill the game for you. i dont think north american version will suffer the same fate as that semi euro release.. thats what happens when you split up europe like you are playing that board game Risk lol....as well no media attention or any type of publicity at all for that version dug its own grave... hurry and release to us already..
