Can this game have a boat load of subscribers. Yes because it is being launched in Asia right off the bat. The US market is insignificant compared to the asian market. China has over 1 billion people. If China likes the game the rest of the world can hate it and you will still make millions. |

Well little do you know. Tabula Rasa was shut down because they didn't have a high enough subscriber base. I believe that with a higher subscriber base there will be more updates more frequently. More expansions sooner, so that you don't get bored. And obviously the game will last longer if the subscriber base stays the same. |

I followed this game for awhile... i dropped any interest in it some time last year as the community on the site i used to visit was quite rude and elitist. Now, as i have quit wow for the forseeable future I have kept my "feelers" out for anything new and interesting, all the while having gone back to WAR (for the pvp mostly). With that.. WoW killer? no no way will ANY game "KILL" wow... it's too easy to get into/play for newer gamers, and the computer requirements are low enough that you don't have to be independently wealthy to buy a PC to run it. Not saying Aion will be like that, as we don't know asaik they haven't given requirements yet. I think overall there's really not enough initial variety for newer gamers to draw them in for long. What i mean is, Two races and wings will not keep alot of people around long. I know that sounds wierd, but being an "alt-a-holic" myself I need a bit of variety to test out first before i settle on one thing to play. Aion look nifty, and the pvp sounds interesting, BUT i need more variety (races) to really draw me in. Anyway, It may do well 1-2 million tops i think... maybe less... i don't think anyone (well maybe the new SW mmo) will top 3+ million. If the keep the requirements low, and the learning curve gradual it will succeed. Aion just doesn't have the same appeal. One last note to what i have said so far... I understand it doesn't have to be a "newb" game or what not, but to "kill" WoW, you have to "think" like Blizz did and try and appeal to new/young gamers to be able to pull off thier numbers in the states at least. |

No it will not be the wow killer. But wow will die from it's own boredom. What game will fill that spot has yet to be seen. Velika: City of Wheels: Among the mortal races, the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, forced them to wander as nomads for twenty centuries... |
