This game will go down as the biggest MMO failure in history. This game was supposed to be the next coming of Christ by all accounts. and look at it now.. look how low it sank thanks to the amazing Tasos and all his bullshit , lies and garbage. They can't even launch the game properly!.. a game that was already 100% awesome and ready to launch months and months and months ago according to the mighty Tacos. This game should be CANCELLED. Not launched. THAT'S what the "right" thing would be to do at this point. But of course Tacos instead will try everything in his power to have whatever is left of his fanboy player base that he shit on for the last who knows how many years now pay him money to help fund his already sunken ship to the very end..... Shame on you Tacos |

Translation: "I am used to games being launched by big, established companies. Anything which derives from what I feel is the industry's standard in releasing games can not be an entertaining game at all. Also if dates are not met and promises are not kept by developers, this will surely mean that the game will be nothing more than a scam". I hope you can point out the flawed reasoning. Let's just wait and see shall we? Release and NDA lift should be soon, from what we know. My bottom line: It would be a GREAT thing for the whole genre if: 1: An indie game company manages to build and maintain a succesful mmo. 2: DF's premise of being a sandbox, free for all pvp, full loot game proves to be succesfull (seeing how many 'pvp' based games are made with far more restictions to ALSO want to cater for the 'I only wan't to pvp when I choose to' crowd and by that making big infractions on the amount of freedom you experience in that game). |

I wonder if the OP is a beta tester? Probobly not. Not even a sandbox fan. Maybe a PvE player. it would make sense : ) |

No arguments anywhere here just nonsense. The FACT is they can only afford one server, they are an indie company that cannot afford any more physical servers at this time.

Um, PvE is a gameplay element found in sandbox style games as well as linear progression (theme park) games. PvP is also an element found in both game styles. There are no rules that say either game style has to support either/or to be of that style. |

Irrelevant what the OP is gameplay wise. Because this is no longer about Df its about aventurine and there very dire "launch". Aventurine are simply muppets of massive prortions... you only need to seen the last few days of mateiral of there behaviour to see that.
EDIT: Even those typos made me wince |

They can't afford to develop a commercial grade MMO 3. They can't afford to lift the NDA 4. They can't afford success in the MMO industry... What they seem to be able to afford though is a loud mouth lying egotastic jackass named Tasos as head of "PR" who spins so much garbage and lies that it would fill up the NYC landfil in a few hours. And is only a few steps away from taking advantage of the last remaining moronic fanboys willing to "support the cause" and ride off into stupidity and failure along with him.

Hello! What do you think the preorders are for?? Its so they can afford all those things. Gosh, do i need to explain everything about how to run a small indie MMO developer here! So you dont need to worry. Its all beeing taking cared of. |

Well to be honest they shouldnt have needed preorders to support the first 3 items on that list as those things should have been planned out and executed way before launch. Thats like saying "We have built a revolutionary new car, it just doesnt seem to run well yet and needs extensive work. But if you preorder now we can have it fully completed in due time...." |

I was only messing with the OP : ) We have so many threads right now warning us about the big threath of Darkfall. As id our money somehow magically end up in Tasos money chest. I trust people to judge by themselves about spending money. I dont go around telling us that DF should be cancelled because i dont like the idea about it. |

This feels like Dark and Light all over again, the only thing entertaining about DnL was the forum, i laugh so much on the forums about it that it was ALMOST worth the money... but no quiet... hey.... do they promise cloth maps too? |

Huh?! They should have planned on being able to afford a commercial release ? Id like to live in ur world. I think ill plan to have 100 million dollars next year, even thou I have no way of getting it.
As for the NDA, i agree that it should have been lifted by now, but the simple fact is that there is no way they should lift it untill they are finished activating all features.
