Thanks for the Vids, that was pure online gaming viagra. This will hurt EVE as the actual gameplay in JG:E looks like the EVE trailers, this may force CCP to actually implement walking in stations. Because if they don't this and the other space based MMORPGs being released will hurt their subscription numbers. Well done Netdevil. |

Looks pretty good. For anyone who's played JGC: Did it also simply have an auction house for letting players buy/trade stuff or did it work some other way? EvE for instance is a lot more decentralised in this regard. |

In JGC you had Faction Stations and POS (player owned stations). At faction stations you could sell items or ore from mining at a static price. At player owned stations you could sell the items at whatever price you set. Player owned stations did however cost a fortune for a starting player, but over time it was something most people owned. I think JGE is going for auction house because in JGC there were to many POS after a while.. which created some problems, like eazy escapes by docking at one of them.. Also it will create a more realistic pricing economy, when you can see all the prices in one place.. I dont know if JGE is going to have Squad (guild) owned stations.. but I do hope so.. for several reasons. One would be to not be reliable on your own faction, making your squad independent and choosing their own path. Like pirating, mercenery style or simply defiing any type of authorities. Second, so it would be easier to setup squads consisting of all nations. Those were actually the most poplular ones in JGC. Mainly traders and PVErs were those.. but also pirates, merceneries and outlaws had multifactional squads. Nation = Faction (JGE = JGC) My cool sig: Turrets suck. |
