Jagex CEO Mark Gerhard has posted a letter to the Runescape community where he talks about changes in how the company will communicate with players and apologizes for annoying video ads that played before the game started, and for propagating misconceptions about the game's free version and perceived kid focus.

This is a good thing. He apologizes for the kid-focusing. However, I don't feel he does that complete justice. I don't play Runescape anymore because you cant post website urls, share personal detail and because customer support bans you for talking about sex or anything else that American kids aren't allowed to hear or see. I think the new CEO should do something about that instead of removing a "couple of words" from the filter. tsk tsk. |
