OMG!  I had this new entry for my blog and I lost it all!  Stupid computer decides to puke and it locked up or something and all of it is gone!   God and it was so good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  OMG!!!!!!!!!!!   ::grabs a pillow and screams into it as loud as she can::  Frak!!!!

At least we know you have good taste in Sci fi shows.  :P

I've been there. You have my sympathies.

All I can say is save, save, save. Easy to say, I know -- much harder to remember to do.

It's happened to me here on this site.  I would get all excited about a topic and write up about 4 or 5 paragraphys of stuff in a post and then for some reason the browser would crap out or I'd hit refresh by mistake or something stupid would happen and I'd lose it all.  It's quite irritating.

You beat me to the punch on that one.  The very same thing has happened to me on this site on more than one occasion.  I have written several lengthy (brilliant) posts where the webpage would just crash when I hit the "post message" button.  So brilliant that you would have been dazzled by their utter brilliance.  But alas they are lost forever to the infinite void which is cyberspace.  And it's so frustrating that I'm too upset to try to type it all over again.

So now, I sometimes try to remember to copy the message before I hit the post message, so that I can simply paste it again just in case.

Pretty much what I do now.  I just copy everything at given intervals just so that if the page crashes I still have most if not all of what I said.  That or I just write shorter responses... much like this one.

Save often.

And in this case of this site, I, too, have had entire responses lost. It's always my long ones too, then I get pissed and either don't respond or write a minimalistic response.

For years I've always copied long topics/post overtime and before I post. If anyone remember years ago when u press post sometimes the website don't post or it erased what you had. I've been in your position, so just take a chill pill and do it again soon. I suggest you do things in microsoft word next time so when your computer crashes it's backed up.

Almost done rewriting it.   OMG...I about lost it.  Seriously...it was one of the best things I have ever written.  ::sigh::  This is nearly as good.   I am sorta pressed for time though,  I have to get to bed soon.   Have to do something tomorrow before I leave on a business trip and Iike to get this part and part 3 up before I leave.   Yea me.

I use Ditto.   It's a tiny program that logs, and saves everything you copy it's also very nifty in the sense that I can take something that's not "current" on the clip board and make it so it is.
