First off i am relatively new to MMO's so excuse my ignorance.
I have played WoW off and on for a few years and thats as far as my MMO experience has gone but i am wanting to expand a little and was thinking about moving to LOTRO but before i delve into the Tolkein goodness... I want to find out what class would be good for me.
I'm pretty much a dps whore when it comes to my characters. My first main was a Mage who i kept Pyro for as long as I could. My second main was a Fury Warrior who delt tons of damage as well but this time made things personal...
I do not mind switching things up a bit but i am basically all about the big numbers and the big crits...
So what would you guys suggest? |

Champions - Melee DPS |

If you are all about the big numbers and crits, I would definately say Hunter...actually, Hobbit Hunter |

Im downloading the trial right now. Im having an annoying issue making my game account. In the part that ask me to create a username and password, there is also a security word section where I am suppose to type in the letters of the randomly generated image. The problem is the security word box is cut off half way, making it impoossible for me to read the whole randomly generated image. Anybody have any advice on what to do? Also another question: What would you say is the fastest leveling class?

Try creating you account in another browser. IE or FF should work. |

Cool thanks for the input guys... i'm gonna try out a champion and see how that goes.
hmm... now which race..... lol |

For a champion I would go for a Human, mainly because I like their traits, personality and raical abilities. It doesnt matter what race you chose though, your character will become just as good as the other races. I just like the "flawed" humans in lotro |

Personally I was going to go for an Elven Hunter. Snipe! |

If you are all about big numbers, Hunter is your choice. Be warned though, Hunter is by far the most popular class in game, making anything that Hunters *need* extremely expensive. Champions are also very popular, and are an excellent class. Two bits of advice: 1. As tempting as crafting is, avoid it. Become an explorer, don't mess with tailor, and just farm ore and wood. Join a kinship, farm the materials needed for your weapons and armor and ask someone in kin to make it for you. It will save you a ton of money and hours wasted looking at your character in front of a crafting station. Forget what I said here if you *do* enjoy crafting. 2. Don't rush through content. Some of the best content in lotro is in the lower levels, Turbine did not make the game to start getting "cool" at 50. |
