MMorpg - The blessing, and The curse of modern gaming. |
Hey lads, last time i bought RoK. Played for month and quited, i liked the game, but i missed all mine friends on WoW :(. Even now i play wow moustly becouse of mine friends, we play games outside Wow. And we even having s meet in northen ireland. anyway sorry got carried away there.
Thing is i whana give it a chance again, i kind of enjoyed long and hard qs chains. Its better then having all qs kill x, collect y. I am not saying eq2 does not having them :D.in mine opinion EQ2 makes questing really important and interesting, not just lvling thingy. So i have Rok, and i whana try playing again, but expansion came out now. Do i need to buy it now? I dont whana lvl up to 40 and quit, after i spent 30eu... Btw hows server population on EU? And anather one: i would like tank class or mellee dps class, what would be mine bet? And last thing, did they added some more armor models? as far as i remember it was really really poor :( |

You can purchase the expansion right from SOE's website and add it to your already created account. There is no need to purchase an entirely new account. It's a Jeep thing. . .

The battles are no longer physical, its from within. |

you could resub and bring your char 2 maxcap and then think about buying new expansion. |

EU Server population, no clue
the expansion TSO -- I personally dont think you need it the expansion is mainly for players that are 75+
I bought TSO for one primary reason, the bear mount that comes with the Retail box - useable for all characters (the mount does NOT come with download version of expansion)
want to be tank dps? try a Shadowknight

The short answer is as long as you still have your account information from when you played before you can just resubscribe on that account. You do not need to buy the expansion unless you want access to the content it offers. |

players are unable to get "shard reward tokens" until they are 75+ eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Void_Shard_Mission_System
easy to get to 80 using only Kunark questing / dungeons
also the next Game Update #51, will be enhancing Lava Storm adding new solo content for levels 45-55, and 80 www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/thread/222910/Lavastorm-revamp-coming-in-GU51.html |

thank you, thats what i needed to know m8. last question: performce issues. I remember EQ2 as one of moust beutifull mmorpgs, but extremly hungry on resources. did they inproved that atleast for a bit? Did they got multicore support? I have prety medium machine: q6600 3gb ram and 8800gt for it :( |

also if it helps, a Quest Chart, for where to go, at what level eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Solo_Timelines I recommend sticking with the newer zones Timorous Deep > ButcherBlock > Enchanted Lands > Steamfont > Everfrost > Lesser Fay / Sinking Sands
Enchanted Lands has nothing new but need to get 35+ somehow |
