To start this off I did go back to World Of Warcraft. So they Introduced the Death Knight. I already Had a LV 55 rouge on one of the servers so I decided to create A DK on a PVP server. I created him started to play through DK starting area. There was some neat features I got a pretty cool mount there some interactive quests to do and fun. Then I hit lv 58 and went to outlands and lv there till I was 68 then hit Northtrend. Once in Northtrend I hit 70 and I got tired of questing. I just lv 15 lvs in 2 weeks and I really dont play wow that much. Even so I got tired as it felt like the same thing. Now with WARHAMMER ONLINE it is more interactive and there are alot of fun thing to do, quests, public quests, pvp. Even though wow has pvp and so I find it fun and WarHammer. Even the questing for me is fun. World Of Warcraft to me just got boring. Take it I did was playing warhammer when it first came out and quit but I find myself coming back to it. I am drawn after WOW has showed me how boring it can get. I know there are only some 300,000 accunts active but I still want to play warhammer. There are more interactive things to do. I have just payed for another month and wi probably stay with it. I see that there are more live events like the Muder event which I find pretty fun and interesting. If I know that I will have fun and continue also. Warhammer needs the chance it deservers. I know Warhammer can win back the souls hey just need a little boost. Some of the MMO's I have played are Warhammer Online, Age Of Conan, World Of Warcraft, Pirates of the Caribian, Everquest, Everquest 2, Beta Tested: Warhammer Online, Stargate Worlds, Age Of Conan The truth is out there SOMEWHERE ? |

This is just a matter of personal judgement. Even though I know what your trying to say. The last MMORPG I played that had a so called SOUL to me was "Star Wars Galaxies". Usually when you can relate to a game on a personal level, this is where you get your so called SOUL GAME (you actually feel part of the games universe). Warhammer Online to me is a fun mmo compared to most out there, but I can only take it in doses. Most of the MMORPG's that are out are PvE centric and not PvP, Warhammer PvP / RvE fits this bill for me.

That tells ppl more about the PVE content than PVP. Most MMO players are looking for good PVE content that is backed up with good PVP experience. This fact is probably the reason why WAR is now falling down to just 300.000 ppl playing. I quit WAR not because I didn't like the PVP content. I quit cause the PVE content was simply not good enough to give the game the strong immersion I was looking for. If I wanted the shallow gameplay of just killing other ppl without beeing involved in the story behind an entire world - I would just have kept playing my COD - like I do when I want to test my skills against good PVP players. MMO content simply can not produce that kinda PVP content - simply because the BASICS of the games are created around the fact that PING should not be dominating factor in if you live or die. At the moment lag is the biggest factor of living and dying in WAR. Thats not PVP. And defently has nothing to do with skills or even tactics. |

There really is no need to defend WAR or try to convert people to a game if one doesnt like it and the other person does. I play Eve Online as well and enjoy the depths of the game itself, however you are space bound , but I believe the game to me kicks ass in strategy and survival and having allies. This is how I look at WAR as well, however in a fantasy genra and not in space. WAR is a game where you depend on others to help you achieve your goals and not just a simple MMO which you level to XX # and start rolling dungeon raids for PvE. Both games revolve around teamwork and its just crazy to solo both games in a PvP format in my opinion. Alot of people dont like being forced to group with others in WAR, but cmon, its a RvR / PvP Centric MMORPG, but play the MMO as you will since your paying monthly. If you find your not getting your PvE kicks from the game, then move on ot the other hundred PvE centric MMO's. (Can you actually name one MMO that kicks ass in both departments - PvP and PvE - ?) I can't... On the topic of COD.. I love COD as well and find it there for my quick fix FPS, but at least you can choose what type of FPS you want to play (Team Match or Free for All). I love playing with my guildmates, playing solo in this game is fun, but I can only play it for a short time since I love team base over solo. Team Fortress is another FPS built on Team Work and not this solo shit. also... 300k subs... I wouldnt care if it was 50k subs as long as I am having fun in any mmo. Justifying how many people play a game is not the way I look at games. Its all about the fun factor for me personally. |
