So this past weekend the Order had an opportunity to capture IC and failed miserably..(sorry LOL) That was the end result..How did they even get that close to IC on a server that is mostly populated by Destro..Simply they had a helping hand thanx to Mythic..All of a sudden out the blue Order is coming out the woodworks..Order guilds never seen before all of a sudden there they are...I found it to be funny and I knew what was taking place....Those who have been on this server from day 1 know that this was all set up by Mythic sort of a prelude to the Call to Arms coming up soon..Random drawing from a hat..our server was chosen..we were to be the example..

I have never seen zones taken and locked in the way it had been done so fast..I do know that other tactics are being used by both Order and destro to gain the upper hand..Some would call it genius..I would call it lack of skill on the part of the person who is doing it..What im talking about is people who have 2 accounts for WAR and make a char on the Order side and the Destro side so that they can monitor Region chat and relay it back to people in vent and warband chat...I look at it the same way I look at cheating or hacking..Mythic won't allow you to make both on the same server for obviously those very reasons...

Another note:

I know we have some A**holes on the destro side of our server that may have caused many to defect to the Order side just to shove it back down their throats namely a guy by the name of BLADES..He is the most arrogant piece of ( insert your own words if you know who im talking about) and he thinks that he knows it all..I think he is RR 80 or near to it..He feels like he doesn't need to take anyones advice because of his RR...People from other guilds have even extended a hand to him to try to form an alliance or give advice and all he did was chop off their hand....

I got news for you BLADES you suck at leading and your even worse at following..Ive been in WB with you many times and your tactics are null and void. How any1 with 1/2 a brain would ever consider joining your guild is beyond me unless they are blind and love being led the same way.

The most striking thing, is that this is from a longtime Warhammer SUPPORTER. You can imagine how this post would be treated if someone who's been critical of Warhammer said it, lol.

A small bit of advice... If you feel Mythic has a slant towards Order now, you are going to be in for a rude awakening when they actually get Slayers into the game. For Jacobs, Slayers are going to be the Messiah so you can bet they will be pumped up Destro killers.

If I were you, I'd start looking around for a good Order guild to make friends with on another server as the butt whoopins' are a comin'. WE nerf + Slayer hype= Order will rule. Stevie Wonder could see this one coming.

This happened in DAOC too. <shrug> didnt kill that game either. HOwever it does make great fodder for forum posts where we can accuse each side of doing it should they ever win.

However, this is the first time I have ever seen someone actually accuse the developer of  X-realming. Does it make sense? If Mythic controls the game, why would they need to dual box?...couldnt they just hit a button and *poof* zone lock

Also, one thing missing from all X-realming accusations is how the OP delved proof that the X-realming occured. Usually what they say is something like whats posted above (My god, they moved so well and beat us...In my 294764 yrs of MMO experience I can place my professional expertise that they obviously X-realmed)

But yeah, Warhammer is not such a great game, and Mythic does pull some stunts like this from experience in DAOC. But I dont think its some kind of grand conspiracy.

Ah Woody, I am a 33 IB on Monlith and was there in Chaos Waste with our Order zerg that kicked all this off. I remember thepeeps on region chat wondering where all the dirty destro's were. The prevailing thought was you all were at the Comicon.  I do not know all the "exact" particulars in what you have to do to lock zones down and walk into IC but  there simply was not alot of Destro on that night. Of course my lil 33 got kicked from the Maw so all I could do was join the Undercroft SC and it was badass SC.

Anyhoo, it being a weekend night and all, maybe Destro just had lives and was out doing rw stuff while all us order dweebs were playing a game. I think it was on the up and up but we just failed, I know we were kicking ass in the sc. There was alot of talk of peeps not being able to enter IC in groups and alot had to relog. They had problems in queue for entering IC.

I really don't know what all happens in these events since I have rarely been in it but that was a few things I was reading on chat.

Such is life OP. It happened in DAOC and it will happen in every PVP based MMO out there. Heck in Darkfall it will be even worse. Look what happened in EVE this past week and you will realize to what extent some people will go to win or be the best.

Cross-realming is an issue and there is no way for Mythic to police it at all. I remember in DAOC doing keep runs at 3:00am thinking we pulled off an awesome coup, only to be greeted with 100 smiling Hibs waiting for us. It didn't take a genius to know what happened.

I enjoy it when the staff behind the game get involved with the game itself.

Does no one remember GM events? Seriously?

If anything this is a step in the right direction. Not some "cheating bullshit".

Hurray Mythic for actually creating a few experience for some people, just ignore those Destro players that are jealous it was them that got a chance to attempt a city raid.

P.S. I play on Destro and would have loved to chop off a head or two from the Mythic team ;)

I play Destro and I wasn't on most of the day.  I was quite surprised when I logged on later that night and saw what Order had gotten to IC!    I don't believe Mythic did it but I'll be honest, I did wonder if it had been some kind of bug    But if it wasn't gratz on getting so close!

Echoing your last sentence, there were many examples where there was confusion that night.   If you read the chat that night it was clear that many people didn't know what going on or what they should do about it.   There were some people trying to explain it, but Mythic shouldn't rely on customers explaining game mechanics to other customers.   There needs to be a much better method of informing players IN GAME what is happening and what needs to be done during these events.   (Maybe an automatic update to the ToK?  Along with a warning to look there)

This comes out in the Undercroft scenario as well.   I agree the scenario was entertaining (not one of the best  but it was all right)   The problem was that people had no idea what they were supposed to do.   I saw both Order and Destro just getting clumped in the center and I'm sure there were people on both sides screaming about the other objectives.

Live events, scenarios, and the game mechanics either need to be designed so people can grasp them quickly or the game needs to provide easy, accesible and obvious information regarding them if they are not intuitive.   I always felt that something non-intuitive shouldn't be in a game, but WAR has complicated systems that desperately need explaination in game.   

To me this just shows how badly out of whack some servers are that people are willing to entertain some dev conspiracy theory rather than believe some conglomeration of Order guilds that normally don't RvR made a push to IC.

And Monolith has been badly out of whack since the first round of transfers it was involved in.  My server was a source to Monolith and Ungrim and like 80% of destro went to monolith and liek 60% of order went to ungrim.  And my server was like 60/40 or worse in destro's favor.

I wouldn't mind if there were GM run events to balance this out if they publicized things.  But that is not the case.  

But frankly this is not that because Mythic can't make Monolith less crappy by occasionally spawning fake Order guilds.  Even if this conpspriacy theory were 100% true it would not actually accomplish anything.

The underlying fundamental thing here is that servers like Monolith are completely borked for RvR and Mythic has not real solution for it and never had one.  It not just hard for Order to push to IC.  Its close to unbelievable in the most literal sense of the word.  That is just sad.

Yet at the same time it really was not hard for Order.  By all accounts they did it pretty fast.  The whole thing is rather borked because the RvR mechanics simply do not handle/manage population in any sane or useful way.
