Uhh I don't think you are in beta.  I know of 40+ person fights that run smooth as butter(fps drops maybe to 22-25 on a 950$ machine built in 09/2007).  Mostly people complain because they have no idea about how to do siegeing and don't understand siege timers.  You are telling me that a few more people has catastrophic outcomes?

Actually doing large scale tower battles in AO (about 600+ people total) did little in the way of effecting FPS or lag, and we had players from Euro nations, New Zealand, Assuies and NA.

The only time lag really hit was due to graphical issues such as NTs spamming AOE nukes. Other than that it was very playable (and this was AO ffs...)

did you also read the one where Kjetil (main DF dev) says they have massive debugging and logging turned on at the moment to catch the final few client errors and explicitly says not to worry about performance issues during this time?

did you realise that the clans involved in the fighting were US-based eith crappy pings as well?

didn't think so...

don't you guys want our genre to have better game in it?  too many of you are just itching to see this game fail so you can be "right" i guess...when the delay happened, so many kids were on this forum saying hahahah its all going down now...get over yourselves.

the have an extremely active beta going on right now in which they are trying to deliver a good game...stop trying to act like they owe you anything or have done any wrong with thier delays.  yes they are new developers...excuse me why dont you go back to your "professional" developers like funcom...cause they can be trusted and know what they are doing right?

Now, throw those 50 people into those cities and have them all fighting each other in their turn-based, slow combat system, and see what happens.  Now imagine, if this was more realtime, and imagine what would happen.... oh....

OF COURSE it's going to lag.  As the above poster alluded to, the only games that don't with that many people (And you still need a good broadband onnection) are FPS games from the top FPS developers.

Its people want to talk bad about the game without proof and mods here on MMPORPG.com don't do anything about it.

No wonder the quality of information is a joke here.

Is a joke.  The game wont even come close to handling 100v100 battles at 60fps, as the dev's said about their battle simulation a few months back.  And even 40+ battles wont be be "smooth as butter", unless those 40 people are the only ones on the entire server.  Just the truth, so best get used to it.

Thats why I won't be playing this game untill it gets a free trail. Shitty graphics + shitty looking devs has got me sceptical. Unless I get a free copy for review...

I hope this game is good but its looking kinda iffy latly.
