Now, to the OP: Yeah, but you never know. Aventurine might be hiding the real game and everything up to this point was a "de-hype" crusade in order to keep peoples' expectations low.

I'm not sure if your serious or not but incase you are or anyone takes that seriously I just want to say, thats extremely unlikely. People talk as if Aventurine have been trying to "de-hype" the game, if this was the case there official leaks prior to them opening beta up further would've pointed out its weaknesses not positive opinions. I haven't seen them do anything to actually try and "de-hype" the game.

one of the reasons i left this site was because everytime i make post id get basshed for speeling, then i would get angry at people and end up getting band....i see things are still the same.

Well, I'm afraid at his point I feel it is I that has made an ass of myself.  I make spelling mistakes on a frequent basis.

I saw it and looked the word up.  It was the definition that I found humor in.

Since this game is likely not going to get a North American server, I really don't care that much. The promises made when I first heard about this game were enough to get me interested but now I just follow it enough to keep up with the "news". I am thinking there are a lot of people that no longer really have high expectations for Darkfall simply because of broken promises. I really doubt these leaks will change much of that.

To start with: Take a look at some random "pointless" combat in a DF beta video! What you see is manual aiming in realtime, maybe not to make people go "ohhhh". But then you slowly begin to think....if i compare this combat to a WoW combat video (wich everyone understands) you are slowly beginning to see something. The players circle eachothers just as in a real fight, they cut air when trying to hit (just as in a real fight)  suddenly someone make a move and completely takes the other with surprice. Both players know they will loose everything if they misses to often..or they could try and run. But that wont be good for thier reputation. Should he stay or run now..soon it will be to late! The players tdont even try to wipe the sweat from thier eyes as long as the fight goes on..if you look away for a seconds..you could find you chataccter laying and screaming on the ground..whlie the other one is watching you die.

 

And this is just combat between two noobs in the stating zone : )

You realize of course that DF isnt the first game with FPS shooting and dodgeable spells right? Granted, it probably will be the first game that hits main stream (assuming it does) with FPS shooting, but AC1 was the first with dodgeable spells and arrows.

Combat in Darkfall is about as deep as two guys knife dueling one another in CS.

Darkfall will be awesome once you get a patch of say 3GB in size and we all know how fast the devs work at Aventurine. Neveruary the 15th you see updates.

Yeah Darkfall looks like a really deep game.

there are f2p games with deeper gameplay and better graphics than df. not to mention wider audiences than what df seems to be aiming for...

The only reason people are jumping all over the OPs bad spelling is because....

1. Its a simple word and spelling it the way he did would require effort on most peoples part

Trust me when I say a lot of us wish the game looked good. It's not like we don't want a good MMO to come out. This one just looks like... (insert bad word here).

How many times have we given serious detailed explanations only to be met with "lol thats if it releases ever" and "omg you havent played teh game yet noob roflz".  When someone makes a post like op...it isnt for serious discussion.  He has made up his mind.

Why don't you give me a serious detailed explanation about the game pricing and monthly fees? How about minimum system requirements?

Sorry, Housam.  I don't correct spelling or grammar on forums.  I really did think I was missing something.  I make errors, also.  I do agree, though, that I don't find the video leaks to be reassuring in any way.  It's not just because of the graphics and animations, either.  It looks unweildy to me.  The combat seems awkward and cumbersome.
