Well.. I made a thread seeing what new kind of GFX card i should buy so i could play AoC or lotro. But while i wait on buying that... I'm going to need a MMO to hold me over... Im really looking into all suggestions accept for WoW..

That's kind of a loaded question... it's all about person preferences.

Personall, although I didn't join for a long time, I like WoW and have a good time playing it.

Eve:  (PAY) Massive is an understatement.  There are NO realms.  EVERYONE plays together.  But you're talking about space so there's room, heh.

Anarchy Online: (Free or Pay)  Enormous amounts of content, two realms.  Good stuff.  Sci Fi.

Atlantica: (Free) Turn based strategy combat, fantasy.  Works and plays well.  A different sorta fantasy setting, alternate Earth.

Requiem: (Free or Pay) Horror MMO.  Pretty much a horror rip off of WoW.  It has it's good and bad points.  Tech/fantasy/horror setting with some interesting twists like Nightmare Time.

City of Heroes/Villians: (Pay) Super hero/villian MMO that's easy to get in to and play.  You're character always looks the way you want because you don't worry about equipment and such, it's all about your powers.  Playing the bad guy is a blast too  :)

You can either stick with what you like or try something different.  There's just so many choices.

I'd reccomend WorldOfWarcraft(WoW for short).

Its a fantasy-themed Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game(MMORPG), but you dont have to Roleplay!

Its a mainly skill-based MMO kinda like a RTS.

Its really fun to play especially if you play as a night elf hunter!

Its fun and you can play PvE alot so you dont have to get hurt by other players and evil gankers!

You could try Shadowbane.  Take the free trial and the game is free after that.  This game is PVP and was made for that purpose.  Expect to get pked after leaving newbie island.. The game is hard core and vicious...

The up side is the PVP.

The downside is lack of dungeon crawling.  You will kil mobs for the rare item drops and if you dont get the item then you kill the guy that just looted the item...

WOW is a nice game, and easy on your computer. However it is a rather simple game.. yet with a huge amount of players which is nice.

There are MMOs out there which are far more advanced then wow, and alot more fun to play.

I liked wasting my time with my crappy computer in savage 1. The games were fun, time consuming, and skill based.
