In another thread the subject was brought up about not having a targeting system and having friendly fire. Do you believe this is going to work well in dfo, or is it gonna cause to may problems in large sige warfare? If so do how long till it ( friendly fire ) is removed?

It'll be a problem of course. There will be the people who whine and cry because they don't have the skill to prevent it or avoid it. Then again, you'll also have the backstabbers as well. However, I think that it'll be rather minor in the grand scheme of things and people will adapt.

AoE's will be hard to avoid, coming from bothsides...it might be a slaughter fest... whos knows it might be fun though. |

I never had an issue with this feature. It is just one more tactical and/or strategy consideration when fighting. That is never a bad thing. You will see people adapt and learn how to manipulate the situation to their advantage. For instance you could have a suicide squad in a siege that are completely naked and cluster the enemy so the AOE spells will have their greatest affect. Have a second line of armored troops to go in an mop up while the suicide squad runs back to repeat. This would be especially effective as a defender. This just adds more layers and the guild that uses it best will have an edge against all others. -Atziluth- - Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity. |

Friendly fire is just another word for FFAPvP : ) And the PvP wouldent be the same without it. |

Might be good to have a system in place for the occasional collateral damage you may come across. Like a simple apology offered to the hurt player(as a game mechanic). As far as I've understood it, now if you attack a fellow player you are instantly labeled as a rogue/outlaw. Do correct me if I'm wrong, I don't follow Darkfall so much. |

Please be serious, any game which is using /target /assist etc crap can be easily exploited by passing keystrokes to other running windows (even on other machines located anywhere) to create army of clones serve you and cast/attack simultaneous to instakill anything. Good reason? |

Yes it's a good thing. Makes the game more engaging and enjoyable. Cheats and hacks can be fought, so I wouldn't say no to a engaging playing system because of the possibility of cheaters. |

I think it depends entirely on how tight the game is coded. Stabbing someone in the gut should not be difficult just because your buddy is standing 3 feet to his side. If they code it right it will feel natural. If they screw it up it will be impossible. |
