The new continent of Iria is coming out! It's pretty much a whole new expansions pack, and generations 4-6 in one update! Click the link for more information.

This is like the only F2p sandbox i enjoyed the two months I spent with this game.

I may give it another chance or I may just wait for the sequal.

Why would I play a pathetic themepark MMO when I could enjoy a masterpiece like Mass Effect, Oblivion, Fallout 3 and Dragon Age?

They just added on to this as well.  Mabinogi is no longer the most expensive free to play game.  Once you've aged to at least 20, you get a free rebirth.  It doesn't allow you to change appearance options, but you can reset your level and age for free.  All of the storyline quests including the new ones to be added are going to be free as well.

Nexon is a greedy company, but I'd be a liar if I said this didn't make them pretty awesome.  To my knowledge the NA Mabinogi is the first to take this route.

Wow, is that true? Thanks for posting. I stopped playing because I didn't have time for another P2P MMO, but with a free rebirth, I'll definitely check it out again. I love this game, but if they're going to advertise it as free-to-play, the pay items should not cost more than a P2P game's monthly fee. Heck, I'd be glad if they sold a boxed game and forwent the pay services.

Lol, this may be kind of weird, but when I thought I'd search on the topic of Mabinogi and rebirths, I can by its notice tab, and saw the news.  Free limited rebirths at lvl 20.  I swear I almost cried. I had known that Nexon implemented this feature into the Kr version, justified by Kr's being the faithful mmorpg'ers they are.  As for global implementation, I had little hopes.

Mabinogi would've been my most favorite mmorpg and most immersive since runescape (starter) or Anarchy online (ender).  After AO, I've been bouncing around mmorpgs, trying to find the right one.  Finally, no more greedy policies by Nexon to hold me back on investing time into Mabinogi.

Must...create...new...account...now.
