sounds like someone has a mancrush Velika: City of Wheels: Among the mortal races, the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, forced them to wander as nomads for twenty centuries... |

You fail at sarcasm detection. Please turn in your radar. What's even sadder is, if you look at post #13, he even said it was sarcasm, and you still didn't get it. |

Well if you all want to see the real face of DFO here is a picture of St. Tasos Flambouras. Got the picture from a profile he has on NABUUR, says hes a game developer from Greece so I doubt its not really him. Here is his profile.... http://www.nabuur.com/en/user/tasos/profile "Da bigger da Orc, da stronger da Orc. Da stronger da Orc, da more dat's Orc's da boss. No wonder da Black Orcs is always da bosses!" |

The above poster had noted a fella named Claus The following link is to an early interview with Razorwax http://rpgvaultarchive.ign.com/features/interviews/darkfall.shtml I seem to remember they had some rough times then too.

His comments on how Darkfall will be an earth-shattering epic game are almost as good as Tasos's. One thing I found funny was when they were talking about the system requirements for their 2003 release of Darkfall: Kjetil Helland: For good game performance, you should have a PIII-800 and a GeForce1-2 or ATI Radeon. The game engine will also take advantage of the latest graphics cards that are coming out, like the GeForce3 or the upcoming ATI 8500. So if you have one of those, then the game will look stunning. So on the PCs of today this game is going to run as smooth as silk! |

Does it make sense to neglect the people who are going to pay for the game they have worked on for years? It's their game, their development, their launch.. but its our money. I wouldn't go buy a car if all the information I had on it was the name and a few released pictures, I would need to check out the car for myself, do tons of research on it, and in most cases, test drive it. You can say all you want about how much information Aventurine has to provide to their future players... but giving them no information does the exact opposite of what every game company strives for.. to make money. And if you think Aventurine's goals don't include making money.. you are an idiot. "Da bigger da Orc, da stronger da Orc. Da stronger da Orc, da more dat's Orc's da boss. This. So obvious, yet so hard to understand for the fanatics. |

And if you think Aventurine's goals don't include making money.. you are an idiot. I keep seeing words like "neglect, apprehension, lies, stunts, broken promises". It's a game, not your boyfriend. It's not a matter of whether it makes sense. You shouldn't care. You dont' fail if the game fails. You don't lose money if the game fails. You don't have a single vested interest in this game. Do you get pissy when a new car is unveiled at a concept car show but you can't drive it, it isn't priced yet, or a production date isn't set? You don't have the details on standard equipment and/or options available? No, you wait for the car to be 'released'; then you shop/research. I'm sure they want to make money but who's the idiot here? I'm not the one getting emotionally involved in a video game release. I saw a game. I like the concepts and features. I wait for launch. I don't feel 'neglected'. I don't need my 'apprehension' soothed by people 1000s of miles away who probably have better things to do. I don't feel 'betrayed'. I am not crying about 'broken promises'. As I've posted before, you skeptics aren't skeptics; you are just lacking in quality hugs from your boyfriends.
LMAO! thats a funny post, you relate everything to emo...thats telling. I call a desire for information a desire to be informed. Hell all they need to do is announce DFO will NOT be publically available and people like me trying to get info about the game as it STANDS NOW IN BETA would move along....see how simple that is? Now the way I see it, they are trying to introduce a new game, and wish to profit from this effort...SEE HOW THAT WORKS? Since thats the case, I will not be buying the product until I know more about it,....SEE HOW THAT WORKS? Bu ya id love to run into you as a consumer, since you seem to base it all on emo, I could sell you all sorts of crap. |

Your post would actually mean something if DFO was a concept and not actually scheduled for release. Every MMO strives for big numbers at launch.. Warhammer did, AoC did, WoW did, and I can keep going... no MMO tries to down the hype on their game because its too popular, except DFO. Tasos said that DFO was getting a lot of hype "despite our best efforts," and I'm not making that up.
