You also are unaware that Aventurine takes their leaks seriously which is why no one bothers offering screenshots anymore.

You didn't hear?  Aventurine shoots all its beta testers after they log out to keep things quiet.  I'm sure that has been posted here somewhere.

Yeah! Preorder so when the servers crash on day 1 you can be locked out for a few days like everyone else do to the overload. Seems to me Adventurine is ill prepared for what is coming to them. Like most mmo's these days.

Yea let's be smart and pre-order a game that has basically no info, leaks, basically anything validating it. So we're pre-ordering it on the basis of "sandbox, pvp" right? The same company that said 4 years ago open beta was close? The same company that delayed the game 1 week before launch and said a limited trial in NDA was same as open beta?

I'm just guessing you are the kind of person people like to get in on pyramid scams... Quickly what's your address? I'll mail you some great info on a new sandbox mmo i'm making, I just need a down payment to get it started.

Not that Im opinionated, and this goes for many others I'd think who lean toward PvE-centric games (not all folks), but this game (Darkfall) wont appeal to you.  You have way too much an appreciation based on your proudness and investment in those style games to appreciate the player-centric nature of Darkfall.

Some people can't read between the lines - even when the lines state exactly what is going on. Aventurine has been very clear that they don't think they can handle the load of people. They've actually said they might have to have a "staggered" release. It's one of the two main reasons given why there haven't been external reviews of the game. They clearly don't *want* any more interest until they can get some money and put up more servers to accomodate that interest. I'd say given their posts, that it's their number one concern at the moment.

Unfortunately, the haters on this site and others would try to use a complete admission of that as a reason why the game sucks, so they can't put it in so many words.

Most of the poeple here do not dispute the games existence. Most of them however have been here when Dark and Light got release who is following the same patern like Darkfall is doing now. How can you blame them for being more carefull this time?

If I had a couple of millions on my bank account I would have most likely not cared either, but shamefully I do not have a huge income or a huge bank account and it does not seems like a risk I am willing to take.

Heh...then I am one that thinks your a poor judge of game-development with your crowing about the smooth launch of AoC when in fact there was a mass exodus of players from that poorly launched game.  It is a perfect example of a game that should have been delayed 3 months until the dev's actually implemeneted the content.

I'll pre-order if I get enough info about the game. If I don't get into testing (which i probably won't) I hope they get rid of the NDA so people can make video's and whatnot.

I just answered the guys question. I didn't make the thread, you fanboys did. You can pre-order it, but you guys turn into more trolls than us supposed "haters". More like we see facts and post from there. You guys post a thread basically saying you have to pre-order to be smart and you don't expect us to bring logical facts saying why it will most likely tank?

Yes definatley let's preorder a game with no hands on info beside close family and friends of the game. There's 80% of the posters here against pre-ordering and you wonder why? The only trolls here are you guys. Should stick to forumfall game.

Wow you sure know how to read people! Did I ever say I hated the game? No didn't think so. I'm looking forward to it. I do however feel that it is going to be a monumental distaster come day 1. Give it a few months until after it releases and it may be all squared away. Not very comforting when a company knows they can't support the incoming playerbase. Kind of pathetic really when it comes to an MMORPG. Just goes to show that Adventurine kind of doesn't seem to know what they are doing unfortunately. :(

My statement wasn't targetted at you, it was in commiseration with you. You seemed to realize that the demand is a problem for Aventurine and I was concurring with you and noting that others can't see what's right in front of them sometimes.

The second paragraph about the hater response was intended to show why it is Aventurine can't just say "we need you to pre-order, even though we originally thought that wouldn't be necessary. We ran out of funding when credit dried up early last year and we announced a 2008 release date because we knew we wouldn't have the money to launch in 2009. However, we didn't get the game finished in time and are pushing the launch out just as far as we possibly can, so we desperately need you to finance the servers for full launch."

But evidently the days of you creating multiple accounts to trash a game is still going strong. "Mehen" lasted a whole day before "Meher" was created, huh?

I don't like to do it but i'm not going to pre-order nor to buy the game at launch because i'm not confortable with the information i have about the status of Darkfall.

I don't like it because i allways thought that the first months where people need to lear the game, find out all the info and so are the best ones (I dont care that much about bugs and random crashes as far as they are not game breakers).  But this time i'll pass. May be NDA lifted and a bit of communication from AV could change my mind.

Really? I won't even get into this argument, because chances are you're ignorant and not worth the trouble. Suffice to say that I've played FFA PvP sandbox games and loved them.
