The only thing thus far that even reminded me of the farce that was DnL, was this last announcement of "a gift to the loyalty of the community, a chance to experience a "version" of the game" BS, heh.......I mean seriously, I litterally had flash backs of NPCube\Farlan's "open beta" that wasn't an open beta all over again. 

 I am not, nor have been a fanboi of DF, but I have always had high hopes of it releasing, we will see what's what soon enough, but I have said it before, and I will once more, I consider it a success alrdy because features and aspects of what DF has been promosing for 7, 8 years now are in TCoS (which the US version still may not be ready, but the MMO is released) and as well in Mortal Online (which I have a LOT of faith in this dev team and product reaching us in a timely enough manner, because within 2 weeks of their announcement, they not only had an American publisher, but EPIC games at that, the creators of the Unreal 3 engine which it is using, and I dunna care who you are, that's just impressive).

 If DF releases and doesn't deliver, Im affraid everyone who found interest in any of the features, and bringing risk vs reward back to the table (which is a small piece of pie in the already small PvP piece of pie of the MMO community) will have to wait for Star Vault to make it happen.

I will feel very let down if i dont get to play a good sanbox MMO soon.

But its not Aventurine that make me feel so, its all the other MMO developers that wont make a game for me. Atleast Aventurine tryed.

I hear no open beta for us...pretty much. I hate wow now. But I will say atleast they were smart when they came out of closed beta. They went into open beta for around a month then released. That was nice. We got to try the game, most enjoyed and ordered.

Darkfall knows it'll be a bust. That's why they don't want to let people in open beta. I hear the combat is slow, takes forever to get to 1 point to another because the movement is slow, lol. I won't be ordering until I read lots of good reviews on websites. Won't be reading them here from little fanbois that wants this game to succeed.

Sadly as much as I wanted this game to succeed, I think it'll be another bust. Come on AION!

  The population is nothing to sneeze at on the PvE servers, teh PvP server, HAH, thats another story, but Vanguard is a very nice sandbox MMO, and IMHO has some of the most stellar graphics in an MMO (now, don't get me wrong, after the fixed all teh memory leaks, what not) 

  I still play from time to time, and my guild (which spans 5 MMOs atm) has a decent active player base here still as well, and this is on the PvP server, heh.......but I invite you to try it, or try it again, but on one of teh more populated PvE servers......just a suggestion =)
