Open Beta Download link: http://www.plainsightgame.com/ Just getting the word out, it seems little people know about this game called "plain sight" Anyway, its totally different from any other mmorpg ever made in exsistance. Heres a short trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=scjwuyR6LtM http://www.plainsightgame.com/content/new-trailer It is a very small file @ 37.49 MB RULES: Plain Sight is a multiplayer arcade game that uses death as a tactic, not a punishment. Btw: please remember this is OPEN BETA and not a released game, there WILL be problems! And hey, give it kudos, its the first MMO of its type.. you have to give it cool points for comming up with origional graphics and gameplay when that hasnt happened in years
Hope you guys enjoy it (as myself, i am downloading it atm) ~LuckyPotato

Lol, finally something different right? |

this isn't a MECH game, it is a robot game........got me excited for a second. |
Mech, robot, same think imo |
Is it a mmorgp even? |
Im surprised mmorpg.com hasn't fully endorsed this and supported a press-release. |
Well yeah Massivly: your playing online here, thats massive Multiplayer: yup the whole open beta idea is multi player Online: duh.....its online.. Role: Robot Playing: Robot/duh you play it, its not a movie Game: NO REALLY?I THOUGHT IT WAS A MOVIE (sarcasim)
So yes, it is a MMORPG by definition. Its just VERY different from anything out there atm. Which in my eyes is a VERY good thing |

Sounds more like the quake or unreal series to me. |
Not even close.. im pretty sure that in quake and unreal you dont go around an actuall sphericle world, being able to jump amazing hights to get around, and kill your opponents by blowing yoruself up/using your sword, and where death isnt a penalty |

looks like it could be a fun SMALL SCALE multiplayer game. not at all an MMO. not even close. i am going to play it tho The End |
Currently the limit for a game is 20 people. Which is definitally enough, you would know if youve ever played an online fps like counter strike |
lol listen to this lucky potato person hyping their own game. I wouldn't mind if you hadn't done it in such a douchey way. Also, please don't advertise this as an MMORPG. If you are unclear of what constitutes an MMORPG, please look up the term. Thank you and have a wonderful evening. |

Lol wtf dude, jeese im just trying to give people who are burned out of the current mmorpg's something different. its pretty fun, but has really ZERO in common with any MMO i know of. you can't even chat in the game yet unless its on an undocumented key
best way i can describe it is like Super Mario Galaxy Deathmatch
you have only one weapon, and that is simply throwing yourself forward really fast to hit other players with your body (i guess you might say sword, altho i can't make out any swords or animations for them in the game, maybe just because everything moves so fast). you can block also, altho i can't imagine doing it successfully, because you and everyone else moves around so fast that there doesn't seem to be enough time ro react. The End |
Edited: because I was being unnecessarily a**holish tonight.
The game wouldn't really be considered an mmo if it's only 20 people per game.

Meet people from all over the world... then kill them. |
Super Mario Galaxy Deathmatch is exactly what I've been pining for (actually what I really want is World of Mario Sunshine, but close enough)... however I don't understand why you set people up for disappointment by calling it an MMO. A lower limit of 100 players on a server was set over a decade ago and that has gone way, way up since. A matchmaking service is not an MMO, nor is a server browser. Is Yahoo! Games an MMO now? No, and for that matter neither is Guild Wars or Hellgate: London. Over-the-shoulder mlook and a left click orbit camera won't do it for you either. I think what you meant to say is Frag for free* with up to 3 friends over Internet or LAN! Did you think we would kick you out for recommending an awesome little multiplayer action game? Cause that's what this is, and many of us got into MMOs because the action games all went to hell. We are starved for good action games around here. einexile the meek |

a purely fast action MMO (no dice rolling or character levels/skills/stats in the combat) is what i dream of. no instances, no lobbies/browsers. pure action game set in a virtual world.
i think this game (in addition to not being an MMO) is a little TOO fast however, to the point of randomish chaos. and this is coming from somebody who's generally preferred gaming session is FFA DM with a full server playing on small maps. 8)
the game needs more ways of attacking. also, maybe not let you jump so high, and definitely not move around so fast with your attacks (maybe not tie ANY type of movement to your attacks, altho then it may turn into an FPS, which is fine by me 8) ). The End |

looks like fun but at work :((( whats every one think to it |

This looks alright, but yeah, no mmorpg haha |

online doesn't mean massive Multiplayer in single player games are online too. Massive doesn't mean amount of the people on server. Massive means huge amount of people being able to interact between them, in the same time in the same place. Interact, not by chatting. At this time I can mention true MMO games using fingers from 1 hand. First one is eve online, second RFo, third ... maybe DFo. Rest are at most instanced multiplayer online roleplaying games. So is this game able to hold >100 people at 1 place in the same time ? Max 16/24/32 ? Consider it multiplayer, not massive. But of course I want to try it out. I love weird games like world of goo - with such amount of warmth, no killing, no hate, just smile and try to place this damn ball in the right place again ! - and this one reminds me it :) -- Remember, your advantage lies in your opponent's weakness (J) |

I have read about this.....seems a indie game. downloaidng!....
(note: Not a MMORPG, hehehe... seems some of the devs have some spammer genes ) |

Really bad game (so far) Massive lag, |
1. this game bases on p2p architecture, not p2s. That's why it lags when you play with peeps coming all round the world. From what i noticed it starts to lag when >4 players come in. 2. attack+defence+blow = 3 attacks ;] 3. slow down your mouse movement :) 4. I've been playing couple times against >8 hour ago 5. yeah, I experienced chrashes, but playing longer than 2 mins (>10 I'd say) 6. they are fixing it, read release notes ;) -- Remember, your advantage lies in your opponent's weakness (J) |
