Ya know....I noticed that my two main accounts were activated for free last week...so I've been playing again. Playing on Starsider at the moment, and I have to say...the server is really packed. Like, at 3AM there are still over a dozen people at Dant mining op, and Eisley is literally crowded. If I forget what the game was like pre-NGE.....it's actually a lot of fun, and has more "things to do" than "modern" MMOs at the moment. Unfortunately, only a few servers really have any population now after the transfer. From what I've seen so far, Starsider, Bloodfin, and Bria are very well populated. Other servers such as Ahazi are DEAD. Which sucks, because my main was an Ahazi citizen, and of COURSE that wasnt a server that was eligible to transfer from. Dunno....I'll play for the free period and see what happens then. I really LOATHE the idea of giving SOE my money...but nothing else seems to keep me entertained for more than a week or two these days. |

This is ONE server of course, half of the entire game's playerbase migrated there. It's not quite at the level of say the days where there were doc lines in both C-net and MO, but almost. It invokes quite a sense of nostalgia....and makes me remember when SWG had a real population. |

I hate to break it to you, but SWG was NEVER as crowded as you're making it sound, and the cantinas, at least the Mos Eisley one, has just as many people as it did pre-cu...Though admittedly Coronet is deserted now, not sure exactly why that is. the game has more than enough people to function as a community oriented game, so what if there aren't 300 people in every city? Because getting one frame per second in a cesspool of lag is really fun, am I right? Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced. |

MMO sandbox games are as exciting as watching paint dry. |

Hmm, looks like I need to start stopping through Eisley more often based on what I see in the chat box of your second screenshot...
Two messages sent within short duration of eachother of one person trying to sell something and it means that the game is overrun with spammers I used to get invites to spam groups on a daily basis from gold farmers in WoW...and I got tells from them daily...I get a tell from a spam bot maybe once every other day or so in SWG, it's annoying, yes, but it's not as though they are the only people playing the game.
Heck...when I finally tried SWG during the CU era on Bria, the ME bars had autobot ents spamming the chit out of general channel to the point of lagging folks out. That was one of the most lamest things about the PRECioUs IMO...the devs condoning bot play. They never should of allowed recursive macroing. Was just asking for trouble. Not only that, but it turned some folks off to the game. I had lots of thing I never liked about SWG that didnt amount to just the style of gaming...that bot thing being one of the things at top of list. Asking Devs to make AAA sandbox titles is like trying to get fine dining on a McDonalds dollar menu budget. |

It was never different in old SWG pre-CU / NGE. Mos Eisley and Theed were always filled with people macro spamming their goods, their guilds, their services. Cheers |

Is amazing, I read a lot of posts about viral SOE marketing ...and I wonder , why the hell , if you are a "vet" and have a not worth free month trial ,go and check yourself the fact that the game nowdays is amazing good ? If you dont have the free trial maybe you are not a vet or not even know what are you talking about... Lol , just install it , try a "Move to" server and have some fun. Is easy. You can check me too, Im a day 3 veteran , dindt play beta . I logged mmorpg at 2005 to cry for NGE and release pest over SOE. Returned at 2006 and I must admit will never left the game till SOE closes it...and belive me it will not happen soon. I play at Bria and server is really well populated , more than the infame piket grinding days at MO. My toon born at Euro FarStar at 2003. Im Spanish ... not a SOE employed. Lol guys this is a new game. Not the CU , not the NGE. Is a fun real ROL PLAY GAME,The only thing I miss is a better feel of GCW.
