i have seen some demands requests that mmorph must investegate aventurine to see if Darkfall is not a scam. and are even saying that requests have been denied that mmorph did to aventurine.

and that no other respected sites have hath interviews and tested the game.

less of the gospel of darkfall and i bet you'd see less negativity on the darkfall forums... yes?

It has been translated somewhere. There is also a blog/preview on http://beta.thenoobcomic.com/df_preview/intro.html

This is however not neutral. Infact this is all but neutral seeing the person is a friend of the devs and they hosted this site for a long time now. Still a good read though, however I find it hard to believe it is completly neutral (I doubt she want to piss off the person paying for her website :P).

While I do not believe DF is a scam, your links do nothing to refute those arguments. They are simple Q and A sessions with not real content viewed. This proves nothing one way or the other.

Please list respected sites that have TESTED the game and released a preview... For the current time frame there are little to none. That is highly unusual given that release is only about 5 weeks away.

Your last line is the only solid statement in your post. You are right new people should not trust the fanbois or critics... they should check for themselves. Unfortunately Aventurine has not provided much to allow them to make a well informed decision as to what state the game is in.

You have the italian reviewers who are friends with the devs, and you have The Noob who has her website hosted for free by the devs.  Then you have a bunch of question and answer sessions with gaming sites, none of which have actually played the game.

Here is a test for you?  Ask me 10 questions about 'my game' and I'll email you the answers.. does that mean 'my game' is real.

The funny thing about the italian article is that the 'directional' combat has been removed from the game.. they could'nt get it to work.  And The Noob said that ships, guilds, pvp system, player housing, and most of crafting is not 'turned on' in the game she played.

So basically they have a map, they have some mobs, and you run around and auto-attack them.    Sounds 'feature complete' to me

Why are you trying to scam us? Do you work for Darkfall?

Those links does not prove that the game are a scam, noone know if it is a scam before someone have to pay Aventurine for their product.

Even if the game will launch and be stable Aventurine can scam you after a few months. Noone knows. But I'm sure that most people here and 'there' aren't paranoid enough to think like that.

The thing is that many people are frustrated with the lack of information which has been given to any perons interested even on the official site, there is a reason for this the NDA is tighter than a ducks arse and they are pursuing anyone they can who has broken this, hence why you are getting little information.

I find their unorthodox approach very refreshing indeed and hope they continue this until the release, the fact that Tasos is seen to be an arrogant person, he's not bothered what people call him he is so focused and determined to let his product speak for it's self and refuses to be manipulated by any comments at all, obviously he has more important things to use his valuable time on.

I have been watching the comments on a beta linked site which I will not post here for fear of them closing and taking legal against that site too, but this is why I am no longer sceptical and you may see from many of my posts I do believe and am excited about both the delay and the fact that the game will be here, weather in Feb/March im cool about any further delays if it helps get the initial launch spot on.

Like I have said many times, for me all the negative and or positive post are free advertising for the game hence the interest over the last few months. This game is going to be difficult for many players who are not used to FFA and even people who think they can handle such a game will not stay with DFO for long imo and this is what will cause the most negative effect imo rather than the game being a scam because some people will just not be able to handle the steep learning curve of survival and constant loss.

The people who are used to afking and carebear gaming such as Wow and EQ and many other MMO's who are used to the safe environments like PVE areas rather than PVP/FFA will not have the stomach unless you are really hard core. Once people realise this is not a bling bling MMO like AoC/WAR/VG/WOW they will leave and again of wasted money.  So it is good so many people are moaning about it and if this helps to keep many players who could not survive in this game to stay away then it will prevent them from giving the incorrect type of constructive criticism which the game will need to grow in the future.

This game will do what Eve has done but in a fantasy environment rather than space and hopefully it will grow stronger over time rather than from the off, meaning that it will give the community the opportunity to develop on each server and this is what will make this game I believe a success.

This is so true.

It's interesting how some of the most ardent DF fans can complain here about "trolling", yet they wreak havoc trolling ALL the other MMO boards here at mmorpg.com.

Seems like a double standard to me. You can't visit another forum without the constant promoting of Darkfall and the blatant bashing of ALL other mmo's and the companies producing them.

Last week, I was reading some posts on one of the "small" mmo boards and people were BEGGING the Darkfall fans to please stop and go away. They had to plead with them.

This just isn't right.

No it won't, for two simple differences.

First, in EVE, we have lots of safe space to satisfy the more PVE minded, player, which at any given time contains the greatest portion of the player base.

Second, we can AFK all the time in EVE, something I agree would be fatal to do in DF.

People like to AFK.
