So the US merge has been done and all seem to have gone well. forums.ageofconan.com/showthread.php Now we are ready to embrace Patch 1.04 with 3 new dungeons, DX10 in all its glory.

Well I rolled on Tyrrany so I never have felt a need for more players. I fear there's going to be too much stuff going on now. We'll see. |

Couple of comments on the merger. I just hope we now are not getting a massive problem with too many people on each server.
OT Trader was like a raveclub at 8am. It's nuts - no room to breathe in there.
Tyranny had like 50 people in Old T at the trader (inside and on the steps) at 6:30am. I checked before work... I can't wait till primetime when I get home. Finally saw purples for sale again (not that it means anything but I heard they were extinct on the forums) Guess I will need help to continue leveling in Kesh though. Coming from Scourge I love it. |

Did some play tonight, and what was a bit fun was that there was more people playing when I logged off than when I logged in Primetime. Trader is hot as an iron and groups are formed in less than 5 min. It was a very good move to merge these servers. |

I for one, am very happy. Lots of people, lots of grouping. Lets hope things just go up from here. (well, they really can't go any further down)....SO UP IT IS!!!! Lets bring AoC to the top!!! good to see the merge went well, they merging the eu servers today and looking forward to come home tomorrow and be able to play the game after the merge. :) Will be good with lots of new faces and easier to get groups for stuff. The merges is quite possibly the one thing that can save the game atm. more activity means more fun, and with the coming patches stuff looks good :) |

activity rocks, so does constant cold calling of guild invites, where people will randomly invite you to their guild or whisper u to join their guild. quite annoying, i got invited to 5 guilds in an hour on tranny and 3 whispers, quite annoying, and rude. but ill admit the activity and population is healthy now. just wish some people would learn a little in game etiquette. STOP RANDOM GUILD INVITES!

 Random guild invites where happening on Tyranny and most other major servers before the mergers, but people are being frantic now because numbers makes winning easier so they are desperately trying to get players. What I did to stop random invites was I made my own guild and/or went anonymous. That will stop the majority of them right there. However, I do advise you join a guild because it makes AoC 10x more enjoyable being with a group of people that PvP in kesh and Raid on a regular basis. Shame less plug Immortal-guild.net is a great guild. Back on topic: 5 packed instances of kesh at 4:00PM EST. Thats when most people are just signing on after work and about 2hrs before peak times. The PvP is going to be intense for awhile until guilds get settled again. |

Yea no doubt. But its good the way you approach the situation. I think if you create your own temp guild for now that will be the best option. And just to clear things up, this isn't a recuritment ploy I'm not an officer just informing you. Addiction and Dawn Razors are good guilds as well. |

The race is on to get the cities built up, economy is getting a hefty boot because of all the resources that were stockpiled before. Even with guilds that where swapped having all their resources gave back, there seems to be triple the competition from before. City resources are going to be hot property soon especially in the case of repairing in the coming weeks with the inevitable confrontation and confliction abound! Can't wait! well this will be a good chance for me to try the game as I got a account from a friend who never used the extra copyhe got. so this will expose me tot he game again, before having to invest another $15 into the game again. but despite the sillyness with the invites, my experience thus far has been positive. so ill be playing it by ear for the next week or so. if things gowell ill resub my main account. good thing will be ill have 2 accounts to jump between now:). 3.4ghz Phenom II X4 965, 8GB PC12800 DDR3 GSKILL, EVGA 285 GTX 1GB, 640GB HD SATA II, ThermalTake 850Watt PSU. i just went and blocked guild invites. seems to have solved my issue. i went on the testlive, looks really beautiful, but runs like thick mud. based on my current specs as u see on my sig, im barely getting 12-17fps a second. its on default high, with no AA, and anisotropic is set to 6.and the sliders werent changed. iu also set the shadows to high instead of ultra, and disabled 3d ambient occlusion. still getting under 20 fps. >shrug< needs a good amount of work. 3.4ghz Phenom II X4 965, 8GB PC12800 DDR3 GSKILL, EVGA 285 GTX 1GB, 640GB HD SATA II, ThermalTake 850Watt PSU. I messed around for a few minutes last evening and saw 2 instances of White Sands on Wicana server. Nothing like it was better than pre merge.

Two raids tonight, vistrix and kyliki's than a couple burning sanctum runs on my alt and some pvp to top the night off. Holy shit it's packed on crimmeria. I was able to find groups and raids before but when we were in vistrix another raid was forming up behind us which I haven't seen since I've been playing. Some cool people from bane though since we're the bigger server we made sure to give them a nice welcoming pvp style. And kesh is an absolute mad house. Overall great move and love being able to find a group or join a minigame in a minute or two or less :). Damn I'm having fun. |

Completely packed on Set. Lots going on, i m still lower but raid groups forming in chat left and right. Loving the game and the classes are great. Never played a class like a HOX and damn it s fun. |

Activity is much, much better since the merge. I find myself enjoying the game more than I have since early launch. |

I think the true test will be a 2 week window. If you remember when the PvP patch was first introduced it caused the server population to go up as people wanted to try/see the newness. But after a week it died back down again since it was still the same game as it was prior to the PvP patch.
This may or may not happen now. It is cool to log in a see people, but will that be enough to hold peoples interest? Not sure, will be interesting to see what happens over the next few weeks. |
