It's closing in on 1 week to launch for this game and there's still no word on any kind of open Beta or play trial, when/where/how the game will be available to buy, the price, the system specs, no previews or reviews on any major game sites, no marketing, no PR....

Do we have to make one of these posts every day till the game is launched, i mean seriously

the game gets realeased it get released if not it doesn't. PR doesn't make the game, it makes the sales inflated by promising the game will be good, which is bad for biz in the long run.

I hate to say this, but I agree with you. I have been waiting for amazon peorder for a long time now. Nothing's up yet and the launch is just behind the corner. What's going on? Maybe someone who knows shit can come here and explain.

Can I survive in Darkfall without learning magic? Absolutely. You can be extremely successful in Darkfall doing only tradeskills and being good at diplomatics and politics. Start a Clan, or hire some NPC hirelings, and let others do the killing and dirty work for you.

 Im a crafter, sounds good to me....

The game won't be sold on amazon since the game is only be launche in Europe on the 22 not world wide. Also, it seems like it will be a digital download first because they may not have the capacity to hold more than 100k users.

 They don't have to have the capacity to support 100,000 users online because they'll never get that many to begin with.

Are you saying that people world wide can't download the game even though in the official press release it states that North American players are invited to?

Why do people have such a problem with the prospect of this game doing well?

If you don't like this game, fine. Why do you feel the need to make post after post about why it will fail? Why even bother to read the forums of a game you have already decided you won't like?

I'd very much like to see darkfall do well as it would show a lot of developers that its features do work. Though I must say, the OP has a big point. Release is a week away and they have released a few trailers and that is it. Closed Beta testing is tiny, with no stress tests, no way for players to try out the game before its released, not even a price. If nothing else about it raises your suspicions this should.

Still it could do great and be a success and I hope it does - but to even the most hardcore darkfall fans out there - you have to admit that something smells fishy.

They have however said that we will be able to play before we pay. If they're going for the Spellborn model, an open beta, or something completely different, no one knows. Yet.

Closed beta is supposed to be around 3k players, they stress tested the servers with npcs that have the same stress as real players already (don't know if it actually works but that's what they stated), open beta is supposed to start on the 15th (i think), and they've stated that it will cost around 10-11 euros.  All of these things are things I heard here and on the official forums so don't take them for a fact but there is information out there and I believe that in order to purchase the game it will be a digital download.

I haven't been able to play df for free for 2 months up to launch...CLEARLY this game is going to fail.

No one even knows about or is talking about this game without any advertising...what are they thinking...and where can I go to post how much fail DF will be? You guys DO know what Darkfall is right? I mean, no one has ever heard of it since there isn't a banner on *___insert generic favorite game site___*

I hate this game that I know nothing about and no one has heard of that I haven't been able to play for free. I MUST go everywhere and tell everyone now..
