The new screens actually kind of bother my eyes. They seem out of focus. I however will risk developing seizures to play this game when it comes out. In all honesty it's the only game that looks worthwhile since UO and AC1. |

Yeah, that's called "bloom" - it just needs adjustment. The devs have said they You have to remember there's a huge underworld and even underwater lost cities and such. I'm hoping that bloom effect shows up if you're playing an Alfar in the daylight on the surface, There were plans to make slight penalties for Alfar playing in the daylight. Wouldn't

there will almost certainly be a method to disable this (in my opinion) visually irritating fog.
I play battleground europe (ww2ol) and they have this feature, it drives me nuts, some people seem to like it though.
There are very few things that would prevent me from playing this game, but that would be one. I just can't stand that technology (anthroscopic filtering or anti aliasing or something iirc). |

Looks like they're using bloom, aka fake HDR.
Wish they would have spent the time on the real thing, not the curreny over bright eyesore they're currently using. Good thing is that you can most likely turn it off in the options (actually, a slider would be great, a bit of bloom is fine)

High reflectivity of armor/weapons is intentional. They want battle-ready opponents to be very noticeable from a distance, for obvious reasons. Supposedly, they will also be loud (audibly, not just visually). Now, looking at those pictures, maybe they need to tone it down a bit the closer you are to the target, but from long distance it probably still will be a good thing (for the chased, not the chaser). |
